Position Overview

The Professional Services Manager leads a team within Professional Services, Analysts or Project Managers, overseeing that team's day-to-day responsibilities and quality across implementations. This role also serves as project manager or lead on a select number of projects directly. The Manager is well versed in the SimpliGov platform, typically bringing 4 or more years of platform tenure and or developed expertise in a specific practice area.

This role reports to the Director of Professional Services and partners closely with fellow Managers on project assignment and cross team alignment. This is a leadership role that works with cross functional peers to achieve company goals, scale business practices, and drive SimpliGov culture of high performance. This role is remote, managing a team of Analysts and or Project Managers within Professional Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a select number of projects directly as project manager
• Own the quality and day-to-day execution of everything your team delivers
• Keep the team's workload prioritized, capacity planned, and standards compliant
• Mentor team members and coach them toward their next level
• Own performance management end to end, from evaluations to ongoing feedback
• Run the HR side of the job: time off, expense approvals, bonus calculations, hiring, and beyond
• Team up with fellow Managers to keep project assignments balanced across the practice
• Turn team KPIs into performance reports leadership can act on
• Bring the team's data and wins to the stage at company all hands, as needed
• Step in to de-escalate customer issues and protect satisfaction scores
• Track market and industry trends, stay sharp on the SimpliGov product, and relay customer and CS insights back to Product
• Keep sharpening internal processes so they scale with the team

Qualifications

Required

• 5 or more years of manager or people management experience, including having led a team of at least 5 people
• 4 or more years of SaaS or implementation experience, with well-developed expertise in the SimpliGov platform and or a specific practice area
• Proven track record overseeing quality and delivery across multiple concurrent implementations
• Experience conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development planning
• Strong prioritization and capacity planning skills across a team's workload
• Exceptional attention to detail and emotional intelligence
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Ownership mindset and accountability
• Ability to de-escalate customer issues and maintain customer satisfaction
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models

Preferred

• Prior experience managing a team through a period of rapid company growth
• Experience partnering with Sales or Customer Success on renewal and expansion conversations
