Production & Project Manager

We're seeking a highly skilled Production & Project Manager to ensure flawless execution of our production processes and timely delivery of high-quality products, as well as assist in follow up and execution on various projects. 

About the Job:
The Production & Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end production process across all product categories, ensuring speed, quality, and compliance. This role will manage global manufacturing partners and collaborate closely with Product Development, Technical Design, and Sourcing teams to uphold Comfrt's brand promise of comfort, quality, and speed-to-market.

Additionally, this role will partner with the Senior Director of Sourcing & Supply Chain to manage coordination, and execution of strategic projects that drive business growth independent of day-to-day production activities.

Responsibilities:

Production Management

• Own the management of full production cycle—from issuing vendor purchase orders to monitoring production flow through shipment—across all categories, ensuring alignment with launch calendars.
• Develop and maintain weekly WIP (Work in Progress) reports and production timelines. Anticipate potential issues, analyze root causes, and implement timely solutions.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with overseas vendors (China, Vietnam, Cambodia etc.), ensuring adherence to standards, timelines, and compliance. Conduct weekly check-ins to address issues and provide guidance.
• Identify bottlenecks or delays early and implement proactive strategies to minimize risk.
• Partner with Product Development, Technical Design, and QA teams to ensure production meets design intent and quality standards.
• Ensure all production meets regulatory and sustainability requirements across U.S., EU, Canada, Australia, and other markets.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and provide visibility to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Drive process enhancements to improve accuracy, speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Manage production across all categories: Apparel (Casual, Athleisure, Lounge, Outerwear…), Kids & Pet Apparel, Home, Handbags, Luggage, and Accessories.

Project Management & Strategic Initiatives

• Lead end-to-end execution of strategic supply chain related projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders across departments. Develop detailed project plans with clear milestones and resource allocations.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams. Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide executive dashboards to leadership.
• Identify and mitigate project risks proactively. Develop contingency plans and escalate critical issues with recommended solutions to the Senior Director.
• Drive adoption and implementation of new tools, processes, and systems. Provide training and change management support to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption.
• Serve as liaison between internal teams and external partners (vendors, consultants, technology providers) to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in apparel production management, with a proven ability to lead in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• 5+ years of people management and cross-functional team leadership experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience, with demonstrated success in leading initiatives from conception through completion.
• Expert knowledge of apparel production processes, timelines, compliance standards across global markets, and product costing.
• Proven track record in managing overseas vendors and large-scale, complex production operations.
• Advanced proficiency in analytical and data visualization tools (MS Excel, Google Sheets, pivot tables, PowerPoints, or similar BI tools).
• Strong proficiency in digital communication and collaboration tools (Slack, WhatsApp, Google Meet, Zoom etc).
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail with strong follow-through and accountability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to leadership and influence stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for vendor visits, audits, and production oversight.
