Production Planner

Your mission

As a Production Planner you will be reporting to the Installation Manager and be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the production activities and 3rd party installations within the Hiab UK business. This role ensures efficient use of resources (materials, labour, equipment, chassis) to meet customer demand and production targets while minimising downtime and optimising production flow.

This position is for candidates based in UK and can be fully remote, however some travelling to 3rd parties is required. 

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and own the relationships between Hiab UK, 3rd party installers, customers, and other associated parties
• Ensure Customers and the Sales team remain informed on the status of orders
• Management of installation planning processes utilising external installers
• Ownership of Master Production Schedule (SAP)
• Lead the weekly planning meetings and ensure actions are tracked and executed
• Lead weekly update meetings with the sales teams
• Track production progress, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on production output, efficiency, and on-time delivery
• Liaise with Bodybuilders and third parties for schedules and deliveries
• Monitor chassis arrival/dispatch whilst liaising with chassis dealers
• Work with key stakeholders across the sales and operations processes to ensure customer demands are met.

What we are looking for

• A Levels Education
• 3+ years working in production, outsourcing, manufacturing, or planning
• Experience with ERP planning systems, preferably within SAP
• Understanding of Hydraulic, electrical and mechanical engineering principles 
• Deep understanding of material flows, work in progress, finished goods and the overall manufacturing principles
• Good IT skills, including Google platforms and MS Office, and have experience on SAP
• Ability to lead with professionalism
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be confident and comfortable interfacing with other departments and stakeholders
• Be self-motivated, capable of working under pressure, and able to operate with minimal supervision
• Be a good team player and flexible with regard to tasks performed.
