Description

Job Summary

We're opening eyes, hearts, and minds to the impact that a pharmacy team can have in changing lives. Stellus Rx improves ease and outcomes in every moment that matters, along every health journey. Join our group of talented, committed team members — pharmacists, pharmacy care coordinators, technologists, product strategists, and more — to create and expand the delivery of personalized health support that people didn't even know could be possible.

The Product Owner for Stellus Rx will be a valued member of our Product Team, partnering with Stellus Rx leaders and cross-functional teams to help unlock the health of millions of Americans. We are a culture that is unabashedly driven by purpose — making a difference to patients and team members while growing at an accelerated rate. If you love serving others and would like to make a material difference in an industry-transforming organization, we invite you to apply.

This role is designed for a product professional who actively uses AI to sharpen discovery, support delivery, and generate insights — using smarter, faster approaches to research, reporting, and backlog management that raise the quality bar across every initiative.

Role and Responsibilities

AI-Supported Product Planning & Backlog Ownership

  • Own the product backlog for an assigned product area or initiative; use AI tools to help analyze market signals, synthesize stakeholder input, and identify opportunities faster than manual research allows.
  • Translate product strategy into actionable backlog items aligned to team OKRs and sprint goals — leveraging AI to model prioritization options and surface trade-offs.
  • Support cost-benefit and impact analysis to guide prioritization; use AI-assisted tools to speed up business case development.
  • Communicate backlog priorities and roadmap updates to the team and stakeholders, using AI-generated summaries to communicate clearly and efficiently.

AI-Powered Discovery & User Research

  • Support discovery efforts including stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, and workflow analysis — using AI tools to help synthesize research and surface patterns from user and clinical feedback.
  • Use AI to analyze product feedback, support data, and usage patterns to help inform and reprioritize the backlog with evidence rather than assumption.
  • Help maintain the product's feedback collection mechanism; use AI to process and categorize customer feedback and convert it into actionable backlog items.

AI-Assisted Backlog Management & Story Writing

  • Write, refine, and quality-check user stories with AI tool support — ensuring consistent inclusion of acceptance criteria, non-happy path scenarios, edge cases, and dependencies.
  • Apply AI to support backlog refinement, sprint planning preparation, and release readiness documentation — reducing manual overhead while improving story quality and team clarity.
  • Follow best practices in backlog refinement, story writing, and release readiness as modeled by senior product team members.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including refinements, sprint planning, and sprint demos.

Data, KPIs & AI-Enhanced Reporting

  • Help define KPIs and success metrics for initiatives; specify event tracking requirements (e.g., Heap instrumentation) for key user behaviors.
  • Partner with Data teams on dashboards and post-release impact reporting — using AI to help accelerate dashboard design and summarize outcomes.
  • Use AI-assisted analytics to help monitor initiative performance and flag early signals of underperformance to the team.
  • Communicate initiative performance and roadmap updates to stakeholders; use AI tools to prepare concise, high-quality reporting.

Stakeholder Partnership & Risk Support

  • Act as a product partner to clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders; support prioritization through AI-informed analysis and data-driven input.
  • Partner with Engineering on system-level design decisions and technical trade-offs; use AI to help evaluate alternative approaches.
  • Help define and communicate release readiness criteria including UAT, operational readiness, and compliance checks.
  • Help identify and escalate product and operational risks, using AI-assisted tools where helpful for scenario planning.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2+ years of Product Owner or Product Management experience.
  • Experience owning a backlog or workstream within a larger product domain or initiative.
  • Experience in Agile environments; Scaled Agile exposure a plus.
  • Required: Demonstrated, hands-on experience using AI tools to support product discovery, backlog management, reporting, or stakeholder communication — with specific examples you can speak to.
  • Familiarity with analytics frameworks and KPI measurement.
  • Exposure to ROI analyses and business case development.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Healthcare, pharmacy, or Medicare Advantage experience preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using AI tools for qualitative research synthesis, user story generation, or product analytics (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, or similar).
  • Familiarity with AI-powered product analytics platforms (e.g., Heap, Amplitude, or similar with AI features).
  • Exposure to prompt engineering in a product management or research context.
  • Familiarity with FHIR/HL7 or pharmacy data standards.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
