AI Summary

The Product Manager will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the new Intelligence function to drive business value. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform data and insights into scalable products and adaptive decision-making capabilities.

Aon is looking for a strategic Product Manager, Intelligence to help build and develop a new Intelligence function. This role focuses on transforming information into improved decisions, enhanced experiences, and stronger business results. This is a virtual position based in the United States.

You will function in a dynamic setting where plans, talents, and processes are still being established. The ideal candidate prospers amid ambiguity, acts independently, simplifies complexity, and converts emerging prospects into valuable business outcomes.

You will be responsible for the product strategy and roadmap for Intelligence. You will identify where information, insights, and decision capabilities drive business value. Then, you will transform these opportunities into scalable products and features. You will collaborate with Product, Experience, business, analytics, and technology teams to advance Intelligence beyond standard reporting toward improved decisions and smarter, adaptive experiences.

This is a product management role, not product ownership. You will identify the right problems to solve, set product strategy and direction, make prioritization and investment decisions, and own outcomes rather than just managing requirements or completing a predefined backlog.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like:

Product Strategy & Management

  • Define and take responsibility for the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Intelligence capabilities across the business.
  • Identify business challenges and opportunities where information, analysis, and intelligence can drive better results.
  • Manage products from discovering problems through strategy, requirements, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and continuous refinement.
  • Balance immediate business needs with longer-term investments, scalability, and reuse.
  • Establish success measures and evaluate product adoption, business impact, and value realization.
  • Make clear prioritization and investment tradeoffs grounded in business value, customer needs, strategic alignment, and feasibility.

Intelligence & Business Enablement

  • Help define the product direction, capabilities, and ways of working for an emerging Intelligence function.
  • Propel the shift from traditional reporting toward self-service intelligence, decision support, and increasingly proactive and adaptive capabilities.
  • Find opportunities to turn data and information into reusable products and capabilities that improve decisions and business performance.
  • Partner with Product and Experience teams to embed intelligence into customer and colleague journeys.
  • Enable capabilities that support personalization, recommendations, proactive interventions, and more relevant experiences.
  • Explore advanced analytics, AI, and emerging technologies in ways that generate significant business value.
  • Promote a shift from reactive reporting toward proactive, data-driven decision-making.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous business challenges, proactively finding opportunities rather than waiting for defined requirements.
  • Develop solid collaborations with Product, Experience, business, analytics, and technology groups.
  • Develop efficient methods of working, prioritization techniques, and success criteria as the Intelligence function evolves.
  • Connect business needs and desired outcomes to the appropriate intelligence opportunities and capabilities.
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, tradeoffs, progress, and outcomes to collaborators and leadership.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • 4+ years of direct product management experience with accountability for product strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, delivery, and outcomes.
  • Proven experience guiding products from problem identification through strategy, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business problems into scalable product solutions.
  • Strong product discovery, prioritization, requirements definition, and collaborator management skills.
  • Excellent business insight, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success operating in ambiguous or evolving environments, establishing direction, and independently driving progress.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across organizational levels.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent experience in the industry.
