Job Posting Title: PRODUCT MANAGER

Job Description

About Authenticom

At Authenticom, we're building the future of automotive data connectivity.

For more than 20 years, we've been the trusted technology partner behind many of North America's leading automotive manufacturers, dealerships, software providers, and technology companies. Every day, our technology securely powers millions of critical data exchanges that keep the automotive industry moving.

While our name may not be widely recognized outside the industry, our impact is. Today, we're entering an exciting new phase of growth—expanding our products, strengthening strategic partnerships, and investing in the technology and people that will help us accelerate what's next.

We're large enough to solve meaningful, enterprise-scale challenges, yet agile enough that every employee has the opportunity to influence our direction. We believe great companies are built by great people, which is why we've created a remote-first culture grounded in trust, accountability, collaboration, and flexibility.

If you're looking for a company where your ideas matter, your work has meaningful impact, and you can help shape products used across the automotive technology ecosystem, Authenticom offers the opportunity to build something meaningful—not simply maintain what's already there.

About the Opportunity

This isn't just another Product Manager role.

We're looking for a thoughtful, customer-focused Product Manager who can connect customer needs, business priorities, and technology capabilities to create products and experiences that deliver real value.

You'll play a key role in shaping product strategy and turning that strategy into actionable requirements, prioritized roadmaps, and successful product enhancements. You'll work closely with customers and cross-functional teams across Technology, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and other areas to understand market needs, validate solutions, and guide products from concept through delivery and continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across teams, and advocating for the customer. If you're energized by turning ideas and feedback into products that make a measurable difference, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Shape Product Strategy

  • Gather and evaluate customer, market, competitive, and internal feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and growth.
  • Make recommendations related to product strategy, product enhancements, customer experience, and adoption.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Serve as a user advocate throughout the product development lifecycle.

Translate Strategy Into Action

  • Translate product strategy and business objectives into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize product activities and backlog items based on customer needs, business impact, product priorities, and available resources.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Technology teams to ensure requirements are understood and actionable.
  • Apply Agile, Scrum, and product lifecycle best practices throughout product development.

Partner With Customers

  • Build strong customer relationships and maintain a deep understanding of their needs, challenges, and priorities.
  • Facilitate customer feedback sessions and use insights to inform product decisions.
  • Partner with customers and other stakeholders to validate product concepts, enhancements, and requirements.
  • Coordinate beta and pilot programs with customers and early adopters.

Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Partner closely with Technology, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to support product development and delivery.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and create alignment around product priorities.
  • Support product releases and launches, including training, communications, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain positive customer and vendor relationships throughout the product lifecycle.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and adoption to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to support product decisions.
  • Maintain relevant product documentation and ensure information is clear, current, and accessible.
  • Use data, customer insights, and business objectives to inform prioritization and decision-making.

Develop Product Talent

  • Mentor and provide guidance to Product Owners, as applicable.
  • Help foster strong product management practices across the organization.
  • Provide leadership and direction to assigned Product Owners and support their development.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you'll:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Authenticom's customers, products, and market.
  • Establish strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help translate customer and business needs into clear, prioritized product requirements.
  • Successfully support the delivery of meaningful product enhancements and releases.
  • Establish a strong customer feedback loop that informs product decisions.
  • Contribute to improved customer experience, product adoption, and product growth.
  • Become a trusted partner to Technology, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a strong advocate for both the customer and the product vision.

What You Bring

Product Management Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, product ownership, project management, client services, technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver technology products or solutions preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment required.
  • Experience managing or directly leading a team of 3+ employees preferred.

Customer & Business Acumen

  • Strong requirements gathering, listening, and customer feedback skills.
  • Ability to understand customer and business needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance customer needs, business impact, technical considerations, and product priorities.

Strategic & Analytical Thinking

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to evaluate complex information and make sound product recommendations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to conduct market and competitive research and apply insights to product decisions.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams and organizational levels.
  • Comfortable facilitating customer conversations, stakeholder discussions, and product planning sessions.
  • Ability to communicate product priorities and requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Organization & Execution

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity while maintaining focus on business and customer outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of software development processes and technology concepts.

Education

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.

Who You Are

You're someone who naturally connects the dots between customer needs, business goals, and technology.

You ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and enjoy understanding the "why" behind a problem before jumping to a solution. You're comfortable balancing competing priorities and making decisions when not every answer is obvious.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy bringing people together around a common goal. You're organized, analytical, curious, and willing to roll up your sleeves to help move an idea from concept to reality.

Most importantly, you're passionate about creating products that solve real problems and deliver meaningful value to customers.
