The Product Lead is responsible for defining the product strategy, roadmap, and priorities for the MEP portfolio. They will lead customer discovery efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that provide measurable business value.

ROLE
The Product Lead is responsible for the strategy, priorities, and success of an assigned product area within Symetri's Technology Unit. This role works closely with customers and cross-functional teams to identify customer needs, define product direction, and deliver solutions that create measurable customer and business value.
The initial focus will support the Naviate MEP product portfolio, including MEP, Fabrication, Electrical, HVAC & Plumbing solutions. Product responsibilities may evolve based on business and customer needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and communicate product vision, goals, and priorities.
Translate customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives into product outcomes.
Own and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap.
Make informed trade-off decisions based on customer value, business impact, and delivery considerations.
Define and monitor product metrics, KPIs, and success measures.
Customer Discovery & Product Development
Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows and challenges within AEC, BIM, MEP, and fabrication industries.
Engage regularly with customers through interviews, demonstrations, advisory groups, and testing programs.
Lead product discovery efforts to identify, validate, and prioritize opportunities.
Use customer feedback, market insights, and product data to guide decisions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to validate ideas and deliver impactful solutions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with Development, UX, QA, Product Specialists, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams.
Provide clear priorities, goals, and customer context to the product team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, continuous improvement, and shared ownership.
Communicate product plans, priorities, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of experience in AEC, MEP, fabrication, BIM, VDC, construction technology, design technology, or related software.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or fabrication workflows.
Experience working with software products, technology organizations, or product development teams.
Ability to translate customer challenges into product priorities and outcomes.
Strong communication, prioritization, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional and global teams.
+
5+ years of product management, product ownership, product strategy, or related experience.
Experience leading software products from discovery through launch and ongoing improvement.
Knowledge of customer discovery, product roadmaps, backlogs, OKRs, KPIs, and product analytics.
Familiarity with Autodesk Revit, BIM, Naviate, MEP design, fabrication, electrical, or HVAC workflows.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
