What you'll do here:
As the Principal, Digital Platform Strategy & Experience at Cengage, you'll lead the strategy, performance, and evolution of Milady’s core digital learning platform, built using a 3rd Party LMS. This opportunity allows you to create a world-class digital platform that drives Milady’s digital transformation, supports customer adoption, and enables long-term revenue growth.

Leading Platform Strategy and Evolution Manage the Strategic Vendor Partnership Own Platform Performance and Governance Boost Customer Acquisition and Retention Customer Experience Roadmap and Strategy
Your responsibilities will include:
Serving as Milady’s senior platform owner for the core digital learning platform while helping achieve business unit priorities as a member of the Milady leadership team.
Leading the evolution of the platform by analyzing customer needs, market opportunities, and business priorities to develop a multi-year platform strategy and roadmap.
Establishing and leading a strategic vendor partnership model, influencing executive-level roadmap priorities, release planning, issue resolution pathways, and long-term platform capability development.
Lead initiatives improving platform health, vendor performance, customer friction, roadmap priorities, release readiness, integrations, risks, and cross-functional dependencies.
Establishing formal networks, governance mechanisms, and metrics to align platform strategy with customer needs, vendor capabilities, and business outcomes.
Driving customer adoption and retention by identifying and resolving platform friction points, adoption barriers, and emerging needs while crafting strategies to improve customer happiness.
Developing customer feedback loops, gaining a deep understanding of customer workflows, use cases, adoption barriers, usage patterns, and unmet needs
Engaging directly with key customers when needed to diagnose friction, identify and deliver solutions, drive delivery of issue resolution, and update platform strategy.
Partner with executive leadership to define strategic priorities and influence investment decisions across the digital portfolio.
Develop a clear customer experience strategy and roadmap.
Skills required for this role:
To thrive in this position, you will need:
At least 10 years of experience in managing digital products, SaaS, digital platform ownership, or related positions.
Proven expertise in digital product management, including product vision, roadmap strategy, and argument development.
Experience managing strategic vendor relationships and influencing third-party roadmaps.
Ability to lead multi-disciplinary initiatives and address critical business, customer, technology, platform, or product challenges.
Strong customer-facing experience, with the capability to engage senior collaborators and translate needs into product improvements.
Outstanding commercial judgment, connecting product decisions to customer value and revenue growth.
Data-driven decision-making skills and the ability to define success metrics and analyze platform performance.
Strong product operations and roadmap translation skills.
Experience with P&L, budget management, and investment cases.
Outstanding executive communication, partner management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Travel up to 25% of the time to interface with strategic customers, vendor partners, and internal teams.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
In this position, you will be eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary incentive bonus program. This position's bonus target amount, which is not guaranteed and is dependent on individual performance and overall company results among other factors, is provided below.
