Who You Are

As a Pre-Sales Engineer at Develocity, you will be on the front lines, working closely with our customers, prospects, and partners, guiding them on how to optimize the productivity of their engineering organization by improving the software build and testing processes. You will work with our Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams to help customers understand and experience the value of the Develocity solution from a technical, business, and financial perspective.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives through MEDDIC to identify, qualify, and develop enterprise opportunities.
• Conduct customer discovery, deliver compelling software demos, solution presentations and PoCs showcasing Develocity’s value.
• Bring structured customer feedback to Product Marketing, Product Management and Engineering to shape the roadmap.
• Up to ~35% travel to customer sites and events.

Minimum Qualifications 

• 5+ years of experience working in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Consulting or a combination of these, selling to enterprise environments.
• A “Product Journey" and “Customer Journey” mindset with a deep desire to deploy impactful solutions.
• Familiarity and technical understanding of the following:
• Observability tooling e.g. Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace
• Build tools e.g. Maven, Gradle, Android, Bazel, npm, Python
• CI/CD tooling e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD
• Artifact repositories e.g. Artifactory, Nexus
• Software Supply Chain Security
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize activities autonomously in the best interest of your Sales team.
• Strong work ethic and can-do attitude.

 Preferred Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and/or previous experience working as a software engineer or a DevOps engineer.
• Experience with MEDDIC or MEDDPICC.
• Pre-sales experience with developer tools, observability, or other SaaS products.
• Hands-on experience with Develocity.
• Use of Agentic AI tools in your daily workflow to increase productivity and output.
