Portal Specialist

Role Summary:

As a key member of GFL’s Administration team, the Portal Specialist will be looked to for a strong eye for detail and accuracy. The chosen individual will perform a wide range of portal uploads and portal maintenance duties and will work closely with other members of the Billing and Accounts Receivable team to ensure timely and controlled payment processing and reporting.

Job Duties:

• Portal Upload - Upload invoices into the specific portals
• Platform Management - Configure, update, and secure portal software to ensure smooth daily operations.
• User Support - Troubleshoot access issues, onboard new users, and resolve operational or technical problems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with IT, customer service, and development teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Content and Data Optimization - Maintain accurate information, manage user permissions, and gather feedback to improve user experience.
• Reporting - Monthly reports completed with status of portal invoices

Requirements:

• Technical Proficiency - Familiarity with content management systems, database tools, and basic web technologies.
• Problem-Solving - Strong analytical capabilities to diagnose and fix tracking, routing, or login errors.
• Communication - Excellent interpersonal skills to act as a bridge between end-users, vendors, and internal departments.
• Experience - Typically requires 1 to 3 years in customer support, IT operations, e-commerce, or web administration depending on the technical depth of the role.
