About the Role:
Astrosystems Inc is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Payroll Specialist to join our team in Arlington Heights, IL! In this critical role, you'll be the backbone of our employee compensation operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our valued workforce. Responsibilities:
  • Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees
  • Maintain and audit payroll records, ensuring data integrity and compliance
  • Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and garnishments
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, W-2s, and other required reports
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to support onboarding, benefits, and reporting needs
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
  • Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of federal and Illinois state payroll tax laws and regulations
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet strict deadlines
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation is a plus
