Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Specialist to efficiently manage the payroll for approximately 2,900 employees. This includes both contract and full-time employees, split bi-weekly, resulting in processing around 1,500 employees each week. You will utilize UKG Pro for payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll taxes, tax laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for approximately 2,900 employees on a bi-weekly schedule, managing both contract and full-time staff.
  • Utilize UKG Pro software for accurate and efficient payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll taxes, including understanding of tax laws, regulations, and paid family leave.
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll.
  • Leverage BI portals for payroll reporting and effectively use these reports.
  • Participate in ad-hoc tax projects as required.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Proficient in using UKG Pro for workforce management.
  • Strong understanding of payroll taxes and compliance requirements.

Work Environment

This position is within a completely virtual mental health startup, focusing on adolescents. The role allows for flexible, remote work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
