We are seeking a full-time Payroll, Accounting & Finance Instructor to join our academic team and help prepare the next generation of accounting, payroll, and business professionals.

The Role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Keyin College as a full-time instructor within our Accounting, Payroll & Business Administration (APBA) program, with a primary teaching focus in Payroll, Accounting, and Finance.

The successful candidate will join our team ahead of the next instructional block beginning November 2, 2026, allowing time to become familiar with the program, curriculum, and learning systems. You will primarily teach Accounting, Payroll, Finance, and related courses, while also supporting other APBA courses based on your experience and program needs.

Alongside teaching, you will contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement, helping develop and enhance course materials, assessments, and learning resources to ensure our programs remain current, practical, and aligned with industry needs.

What You'll Do 

• Deliver engaging instruction with a primary focus on Accounting, Payroll, Finance, and related subject areas
• Support the delivery of other courses within the APBA program based on qualifications, experience, and program needs
• Develop, review, and enhance curriculum, lesson plans, presentations, assessments, learning activities, and instructional resources
• Ensure course content reflects current accounting standards, payroll legislation, taxation requirements, technology, and industry practices
• Support students through coaching, mentorship, academic guidance, and timely feedback
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support learning and development
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, and course outcomes
• Collaborate with academic leadership and faculty to strengthen curriculum, program quality, and student outcomes
• Participate in ongoing program review and continuous improvement initiatives
  
  

What You Bring 

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Payroll Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• A combination of relevant education and professional experience equivalent to six (6) years
• Current or recent industry experience in accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles, payroll legislation, taxation, financial reporting, and business practices
• Ability to translate technical and industry knowledge into practical, engaging learning experiences
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support adult learners
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfort using technology for instruction and curriculum development, including Microsoft Office and learning management systems
• Experience with accounting and payroll software, such as Sage 50, QuickBooks, or similar platforms, is considered an asset
• Prior teaching, training, facilitation, curriculum development, instructional design, or course development experience is considered an asset
• Professional designations such as Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) are considered assets
