Part-Time Medical Billing & RCM Specialist (with Patient Communication)

We're looking for an experienced Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist who is comfortable handling both billing operations and patient communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has strong attention to detail, and can confidently speak with patients and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Process payment posting accurately and timely
• Submit medical claims to insurance payers
• Perform accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups
• Handle claim denials, corrections, and appeals
• Manage incoming faxes and email correspondence
• Communicate with patients regarding billing concerns and account inquiries
• Make and receive approximately 10 patient phone calls per day
• Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR/Practice Management System

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of US Medical Billing/RCM experience
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Payment Posting
  • Claim Submission
  • AR Follow-up
  • Denials & Appeals
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Comfortable speaking with patients over the phone
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR and Practice Management Systems
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple specialties
• Familiarity with clearinghouses and insurance portals
• Previous experience working remotely for a US healthcare practice
