Providing vital operational coordination for a US-based event rental business, is seeking a Part-time Operations & Logistics Manager for 15 - 20 hours a week on a 6 month fixed-term contract, to ensure seamless execution from initial enquiry through to final delivery and completion. The role focuses on keeping logistics, personnel, and equipment running smoothly. The position is ideal for a decisive, self-directed professional capable of managing international stakeholders, schedules, and live event challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Ownership: Drive project success by managing the end-to-end coordination of event rental bookings, managing invoices, from initial enquiry to final delivery and completion.
- Logistical Coordination: Optimise operational efficiency by scheduling crews, directing staff, and coordinating equipment logistics, transport, and suppliers.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive, direct phone communication with US-based customers, crews, and suppliers.
- Issue Resolution: Ensure minimal disruption to live events by resolving operational and logistical issues rapidly and independently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations, logistics, project management, or the event rental industry.
- Demonstrated experience in logistics or events coordination.
- Proven capability to coordinate international (US-based) customers, crews, suppliers, transport, and equipment logistics.
- Ability to work primarily from 16:00 to 19:00 SAT, Monday to Friday.
- Availability for on-call evening and weekend support to resolve urgent operational matters during active project periods.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong preference for resolving issues via direct phone calls.
- Proven ability to work independently, make decisive operational choices, and stay calm under pressure.
