About the Role

Our client is looking for a Packaging & Production Designer to serve as the packaging authority within their fully in-house, AI-powered creative team. This role owns the strategy, standards, and execution behind how products appear across retail shelves, Amazon, eCommerce channels, and professional markets.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Marketing, New Product Development, Purchasing, and Imports to manage packaging from brief through final proof approval, ensuring every asset is accurate, compliant, on-brand, and ready for production.

Responsibilities

• Packaging Production: Own packaging projects from brief to production-ready files across Retail, Amazon, eCommerce, and Professional channels.

• Dielines & Print-Ready Files: Create and adapt dielines, ensuring accurate structure, bleed, fold tolerances, CMYK/Pantone profiles, material specs, and vendor-ready handoff.

• Packaging Standards: Update and maintain packaging guidelines across brands, including typography, layout rules, color profiles, materials, and structural specifications.

• Proofing & Compliance: Review digital and physical proofs, catching errors in copy, colors, legal text, label claims, regulatory markings, and structural specs before print approval.

• Project & Asset Management: Manage packaging requests, coordinate with Purchasing, Imports, and NPD teams, and maintain organized final assets in Bynder.

• Supporting Materials: Design instruction manuals, parent guides, product illustrations, activity sheets, printed cards, and other supplementary product materials.

• Campaign Asset Adaptation: Execute approved campaign concepts across social, website, email, digital ads, sell sheets, trade materials, Amazon A+ Content, and PDP image sets.

• Photography & 3D Rendering: Create or support product photography, retouching, image comps, and photorealistic 3D renders for mockups, eCommerce listings, and sales materials.

• AI-Enabled Production: Use AI tools to speed up asset adaptation, background generation, upscaling, image variations, and campaign rollout workflows.

• Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have

• 4+ years of experience in packaging design or production within an agency, in-house brand, manufacturer, or similar environment.

• Strong experience creating dielines from scratch, including structural accuracy, bleed, CMYK/Pantone setup, material specs, and print-vendor handoff.

• Experience with 3D rendering tools such as Adobe Dimension, KeyShot, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar platforms.

• Expert-level skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Experience building or maintaining packaging guidelines, brand standards, or production systems across multiple brands or pack types.

• Strong understanding of proofing, print production, file preparation, version control, and packaging quality control.

• Experience adapting campaign concepts across multiple digital and print formats with speed and precision.

• Working knowledge of Bynder or a comparable DAM platform for file submission, versioning, naming conventions, and asset organization.

• Active use of AI tools for design adaptation, generative fill, upscaling, background creation, and production efficiency.

• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple packaging and creative projects at once.

Nice-to-Have

• Background in CPG, hard goods, pest control, household products, or similar product categories.

• Experience supporting NPD teams from brief through production.

• Familiarity with Amazon packaging or eCommerce product image requirements.

• Spanish or French language skills.
