Oracle Utilities Techno-Functional Developer (C2M/CC&B/MDM) - Remote Work Type

About project: 

We are looking for an Oracle Utilities Techno-Functional Developer (C2M / CC&B / MDM) for our U.S. client specializing in IT consulting and modernization for the energy and utilities sector. Our client focuses on delivering innovative solutions, including Customer Information Systems, advisory services, and large-scale transformation projects. Their mission is to support utility organizations in improving efficiency, reliability, and customer experience through advanced technology and strategic expertise.

Responsibilities:

• As Oracle Utilities Techno-Functional Developer you will be providing end-to-end technical and functional architecture leadership across Oracle CCS, C2M, CC&B, MDM, and SGG.

• You will betranslating functional business requirements into detailed Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and Technical Design Documents (TDDs). Develop custom algorithms, plug-in scripts, BPA scripts, service scripts, UI Maps, Zones, and Portals;

• You will be actively monitoring daily and nightly batch processing runs, execution streams, and queue thresholds. Identify stuck or long-running batch jobs, review POSTROUT and application logs, execute stream restarts, and resolve batch data exceptions (e.g. usage transaction errors, billing segment errors);

• You will be configuring and supporting core Oracle modules across Rating, Billing, Payments, Credit & Collections, Deposits, Start/Stop, Premise/Service Agreement management, and To-Do exception processing;

• You will be supporting MDM measurement data loading (IMD), VEE rule execution, Usage Subscription (US) processing, interval data aggregation, and SGG payload processing for smart meters;;

• You will be building and supporting REST/SOAP web services, inbound/outbound messages, and middleware touchpoints between Oracle Utilities systems and enterprise applications (e.g. Maximo, GIS, Payment Gateways, CIS Portals);

• You will be investigating production incidents in ServiceNow/Jira within strict SLA targets. Perform root-cause diagnosis, write code fixes or SQL data scripts, test in non-prod (SIT/UAT), and prepare CAB change packages.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience for Mid Level and 8+ years of experience for Senior Level in technical and functional experience in Oracle CC&B, C2M, CCS, and MDM;

• Experience with batch processing: daily batch monitoring, batch job execution, thread management, error log analysis, and batch optimization;

• Experience in Java SE, Groovy scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, XPath/XQuery, and OUAF Configuration Tools;

• Experience in writing FDDs/TDDs and executing unit testing, SIT, UAT, and hyper-care stabilization support;

• Experience in understanding the Meter-to-Cash (M2C) lifecycle and MDM VEE/usage calculation engines;

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
