Mark Kelly for Senate is continuing to build its team by hiring a full-time Operations Manager to support the campaign’s operations.

The Opportunity

This role will work closely with our Senior Advisor in supporting the campaign’s operations. They will help manage administrative systems, resource procurement, scheduling requests, and the preparation of briefing materials.

Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, self-starters with an interest in Democratic politics, have a strong work ethic and a willingness to take ownership of wide-ranging responsibilities, and be able to multitask and work in fast-paced environments.

Duties

  • Manage and respond to scheduling requests in coordination with the political and scheduling teams.
  • Book and coordinate travel arrangements for campaign principals and staff as needed.
  • Provide trip support as needed, including traveling with principals.
  • Track, compile, and prepare briefing memos and other preparation materials ahead of meetings and events.
  • Manage resource procurement, including equipment, materials, and vendor coordination for campaign operations.
  • Provide executive assistant-level support to the Senior Advisor, including calendar management, correspondence, and task tracking.
  • Lead on special projects as assigned by campaign leadership.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 cycles of experience in campaigns, political organizations, or electoral politics.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain reliable transportation to complete the job duties as outlined above.
  • Previous campaign, scheduling, or executive support experience preferred but not required.

Logistics

  • Level: Manager
  • Salary: $6,000 monthly
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ or Washington, DC (remote but must be based in either city)
  • Benefits: Medical, vision, and dental benefits under the terms of the campaign's insurance plans
  • Leave: Mark Kelly for Senate maintains competitive time-off benefits, including 12 days of vacation per year.
  • Job Type/Hours: This is a full-time position and its schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
  • Travel: May require travel throughout Arizona
  • Union: This is a union role
