Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the Premier League, EFL, and the Female Talent Pathway, including the Professional Game Academies (PGA) and Emerging Talent Centres (ETC).

The female talent pathway aims to support the development of more and better home-grown players through two key programmes: Emerging Talent Centres (ETCs) that focus on identifying a depth of diverse talent – through an accessible and inclusive player pathway and Professional Game Academies (PGAs) that focus on driving high-quality player development through increased performance demands for female players aged 14-20. The Women's Professional game operates a two-tiered Academy system (Categories 1 and 2) within Barclays WSL and WSL2 clubs.

As part of the above, the successful candidate will be responsible for communicating and liaising with all key stakeholders in facilitating and supporting the delivery of an efficient and professional assessment process. This role provides an opportunity to make a difference across both the female talent and male development pathways.


The Role

  • Deliver Safe to Operate and Compliance Audits across the female ETCs [and male Academy pathway (where required).
  • Manage all fundamental logistics and operations for the PGAAC team in organising and facilitating Club Audits for the Female Talent Pathway.
  • Support the end-to-end Audit process, ensuring the operation runs smoothly for both Clubs and Audit teams.
  • Oversee and manage the facilitation and organisation of the Club Action Plans, submission, and review process.
  • Communicate with Clubs and stakeholders where required and maintain a positive, friendly and professional company image as a front-line point of contact and liaison.
  • Notify all Clubs across the Female Talent Pathway of their Audit visits with follow-up correspondence. Check Club documentation and submitted evidence, Club communication and compiling reports for Clubs following an audit. 
  • Communicate with Clubs to ensure outstanding Action Plans are tracked and completed. 
  • Communicate with the PGAAC team regarding the organisation and submission of Club Action Plans.
  • Maintain and update the Audit Schedule, liaising with the Senior Auditor.
  • Support the quality assurance reporting process and ensure timelines are met regarding Audit report distribution.
  • Liaise with the Audit Team to book necessary accommodation and travel to and from Club visits and meetings. 
  • Support with the management of IT Systems.
  • Collate key data to support the Audit process, and provide relevant data and information to support Stakeholder meetings.
  • Strong IT skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion.
  • A good, confident communicator with clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to present findings and communicate them to Club staff in a developmental way.
  • Ability to see both the big picture and advanced attention to detail skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret written information in a structured and balanced way and present it appropriately to the needs of the reader.
  • Strong time management, achieving deadlines and organisational skills.

Role Requirement

  • Experience working remotely and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in supporting a team through administrative and clerical work, holding the team to account to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in managing multiple communications as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in elite sports environments (essential: female and/or male football development pathway).
  • Knowledge of development programs with young athletes (desirable: female and/or male football development pathways)is desired but not required. 
  • A hunger for continued learning and continuous professional development.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with others.
