As an Operations Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the successful implementation and ongoing administration of the Benefitfocus eExchange Platform. The eExchange solution enables health plan clients to accept enrollment information from benefits administration platforms outside of the Benefitfocus ecosystem.

In this client-facing role, you will leverage your product expertise and consultative skills while partnering directly with health plans, brokers, employer groups, and technical contacts. You will configure solutions, manage testing activities, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance that helps customers achieve successful enrollment data exchanges. This role requires a self-motivated, customer-focused professional who consistently delivers on commitments and builds strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.

Please Note:  Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.  

The Contributions You’ll Make:

• Enforce and communicate business requirements for health plan partners within their eExchange solutions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare enrollment processes and the electronic transmission of enrollment data between trading partners.
• Facilitate project meetings supporting customer implementations, renewals, and ongoing operational initiatives.
• Assess client business needs and proactively recommend effective solutions.
• Partner directly with customers to troubleshoot, research, and resolve operational and technical issues.
• Lead and participate in client calls to establish, validate, and maintain successful enrollment file exchanges.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously across various systems and applications.
• Collaborate effectively with operations teams, HR contacts, engineering teams, brokers, health plans, and executive stakeholders.
• Deliver a high level of service aligned with Benefitfocus’s white-glove client experience.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. High School Diploma/GED +2 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Basic understanding of project implementation methodologies and techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn proprietary technologies through training, collaboration, and self-directed learning.
• Strong planning, organizational, and scheduling skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a client-facing environment.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

• 1-2+ years of related professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of ANSI 834 enrollment files.
• Experience working with Salesforce.
• Industry experience in insurance, benefits administration, benefits consulting, healthcare, SaaS, or business process outsourcing (BPO) environments.
• Experience supporting client implementations, enrollment operations, or healthcare data exchange solutions.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
