The Night Desk Dealer is responsible for covering US market trading sessions, monitoring platform stability, and executing client orders. They must also maintain accurate logs of all trading activities and escalate any connectivity or risk issues to the appropriate departments.

Responsibilities: SESSION COVERAGE & EXECUTION
Shift coverage: Cover the US pre-market, cash session, close and post-close window, five days a week, from 9pm to 6am.
Order handling: Monitor order flow and execution quality throughout the session, and handle client orders and enquiries arriving during those hours.
Handover: Take live handover from the mid shift at the start of the shift and hand over to the day desk at the end, with a written record of open items.
PLATFORM STABILITY & ESCALATION
Connectivity monitoring: Detect connectivity or platform disruption during US trading hours and escalate immediately, so issues are investigated the same night rather than surfacing the following morning after clients have been affected.
Escalation: Escalate exceptions to the Head of Dealing, and to Risk and Operations where exposures or settlement are affected.
Regional support: Support the other LongBridge entities through overlapping hours.
CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Order assistance: Assist clients in placing orders where needed.
Record keeping: Maintain the order and exception log for the shift and ensure all client instructions are properly recorded.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in finance, business, economics or a related field.
Minimum 3+ years of dealing experience at a licensed broker, with hands-on US market execution.
Prior experience working a night or overnight dealing shift is an advantage.
CMFAS modules—RES 1A, RES 2A, RES 5, CM-EIP, CM-SIP or CM-CMP, and CM-CIS—or legacy equivalents: Modules 1A, 2A, 5, 6, 6A, 8 and 8A. Ability to complete the applicable current modules promptly is required; active MAS appointed representative status is preferred.
Working knowledge of US equities, options and listed futures, and of exchange and clearing mechanics.
Familiarity with OMS/EMS platforms, market data feeds and order routing.
Willing and able to work the night shift on a sustained basis.
Calm and methodical under pressure, with the judgement to know when to escalate rather than wait.
Clear written and spoken English; a second regional language is an advantage.
