Position Summary
The Vasculitis Foundation (VF) is seeking a creative, hands-on, and forward-thinking Multimedia Content Manager to produce and manage multimedia content across VF's programs, platforms, and audiences. This role will play a key part in delivering a growing portfolio of webinars, podcasts, videos, and digital content while helping VF stay current with emerging platforms, formats, and audience trends.
The ideal candidate brings strong video and multimedia production skills, excellent project management, a working knowledge of digital and social platforms, and experience creating content in nonprofit and healthcare settings. This person will be equally comfortable producing a 35-minute medical education webinar, or a 90-second social media clip and will understand how to engage patients, clinicians, researchers, donors, and other mission-driven audiences.
This is a hands-on role with opportunities to contribute strategic recommendations. The Manager will independently manage projects from concept through completion, advise colleagues on effective platforms, formats, and tactics, track emerging trends, and use audience and engagement data to inform content decisions.
Sitting within VF's Education team and reporting to the Chief Program Officer, this role works closely with Marketing & Communications, Development, and other teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Multimedia Content & Project Management
- Manage the planning, production, and delivery of multimedia projects, including webinars, podcasts, videos, social media content and emerging formats.
- Demonstrate excellence in project management by establishing clear workflows, timelines, and deliverables and keep projects moving from concept through completion.
- Independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities while communicating proactively about progress, challenges, and deadlines.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations for new content formats, platforms, and production approaches based on audience needs and emerging trends.
- Collect and analyze audience feedback, demographics, engagement metrics, and content performance data to evaluate impact, optimize reach, and inform multimedia content, platform, and format decisions across VF's diverse stakeholder audiences.
- Track emerging digital trends, platforms, and technologies and bring forward-looking recommendations to the team.
Webinar Program
- Manage the end-to-end production of VF's webinar program, including topic development, speaker coordination, technical preparation, recording, editing, distribution, and evaluation.
- Coordinate with physicians, medical specialists, patient advocates, and other subject matter experts to support high-quality educational content.
- Manage webinar platforms and associated production tools to ensure a seamless experience for presenters and registrants.
- Track webinar participation, engagement, and evaluation data and recommend improvements based on results.
Content Production & Editing
- Produce and edit multimedia content across formats, from full-length educational recordings to short-form video and social media assets.
- Develop and produce VF's podcast program, including format development, guest coordination, recording, editing, publishing, and promotion.
- Develop and produce short-form multimedia content that supports education, awareness, campaigns, events, and organizational priorities.
- Adapt existing content for different platforms and audiences, including social media and digital channels.
- Maintain organized digital asset libraries and ensure multimedia content is appropriately archived and accessible.
- Coordinate with contract videographers and other external vendors as needed, including supporting in-person event coverage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing & Communications, Development, Education, and other teams to develop multimedia content supporting organizational priorities, from patient education and clinical outreach to fundraising campaigns and donor engagement
- Advise colleagues on appropriate platforms, formats, production approaches, and audience engagement tactics.
- Support campaign videos, awareness content, patient and clinician education, donor communications, and other multimedia projects.
- Coordinate photography and visual asset needs, including headshots, event photography, and conference coverage.
- Build positive working relationships across teams and with external partners while keeping projects aligned and on schedule.

Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Digital Media, Film/Video Production, Marketing, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in multimedia production, with demonstrated experience producing webinars, podcasts, video, or other digital content.
- Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent) and experience with the post-production workflow.
- Experience with webinar platforms and production tools (e.g., Zoom Webinars, Riverside, StreamYard, or similar).
- Working knowledge of major social media platforms and the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
- Portfolio or work samples demonstrating a range of multimedia production.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with prior experience building effective relationships with colleagues, physicians, patients, vendors, and other external partners.
- Experience coordinating with or managing external vendors, including videographers, editors, or other creative professionals.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and a track record of using data to shape content strategy.
- Familiarity with AI tools as they relate to content creation and openness to their evolving role in multimedia production.
- Willingness to travel for VF events, patient conferences, and related activities (approximately 3–5 times per year, with occasional international travel).

- Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal direction in a fully remote environment.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience creating content for healthcare, patient advocacy, medical education, or clinical audiences.
- Photography skills and experience managing organizational visual assets.
- Proficiency with project management platforms and CRM or database tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Experience producing multimedia content in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.

Work Environment
The Vasculitis Foundation is a fully remote organization. This position requires effective performance in a home office, regular collaboration with team members across time zones through virtual communication tools, and travel to conferences, patient events, and VF-related activities. Candidates based in Central or Mountain time zones are strongly preferred.
