Summary

This position is available on either a full time or part time basis for a Motion Graphics Artist/Animator who will assist with creating 3D animations and 2D graphics for aviation educational curriculum.

Essential Functions

This is an exciting opportunity for a current or recent college graduate to launch their career by tackling a highly specialized task: transforming existing FAA 2D diagrams and complex technical schematics into dynamic, branded 2D and 3D animations. The ideal candidate will blend strong design fundamentals with animation proficiency to create clear, visually compelling educational content.  This role begins as a part time position with the strong potential to transition into a full-time staff position.

Competencies

• Stills to Animation Conversion: Transform flat, technical 2D aviation diagrams (e.g., flight maneuvers, aircraft systems) into accurate and visually engaging 2D/3D animated models and sequences.
• Branding & Design: Apply and develop our company's visual brand to all converted materials, turning sourced or raw technical imagery into high-quality, professional assets.
• Motion Graphics: Design and animate 2D and 3D motion graphics, lower thirds, and informational sequences for integration into educational video courses.

• Video Production Support: Work with our video editing and content teams to deliver final rendered animations and graphical elements optimized for video
• Conceptualization: Assist in storyboarding and conceptualizing how complex aviation processes and principles can be best visualized through animation.

Position Type

• Full-Time Pay: Up to $31.25 per hour; equivalent to approximately $65,000 annually based on a 40-hour workweek 
• Part-Time Pay: $25.00 per hour

Required Education and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, or a closely related field. Recent college graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants currently enrolled in these or similar programs will be
• Portfolio: A strong digital portfolio demonstrating proficiency in both 3D animation/modeling and 2D motion graphics.
• Software Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in the following industry-standard software:
  • 3D Animation: Blender 3D and/or Cinema 4D
  • Motion Graphics/Compositing: Adobe After Effects
  • Graphic Design: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Video Editing (a plus): Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
• Creative & Technical Aptitude: Excellent understanding of animation principles (timing, weight, staging) and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, easy-to-understand visuals.
• Work Ethic: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Aviation Knowledge: Possession of at least private pilot certificate, and/or strong knowledge background in aviation, aerospace, or technical training.
