Penguin Publishing Group Creative Marketing Services 

Designing books—covers, jackets, and interiors—is a collaborative effort. The staff reviews the book and meets with the editor and marketing department to create a visual-packaging direction and oversee its implementation to both represent the book's essence and attract the target audience. 

Some responsibilities may include supporting a variety of marketing projects, including social media, digital ads, video, motion graphics, and print materials. Responsibilities include creating graphics, conducting image research, and assisting senior designers with creative projects. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented design or art students eager to gain hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite in a professional setting. 

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS 

Penguin Random House offers a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity available in our adult, children’s, and corporate divisions. Interns are exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series!  

Summer interns work for 28 hours per week and are paid $21/hour.  

What you study does not matter!  We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY 

• Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2028 (You do not need to be enrolled in college or have a degree to apply to our internship program). 

• Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program 

• Available and commit to the program working June 7th, 2027 – August 12th, 2027 

• Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program 

• Must be over the age of 18

The Penguin Random House national headquarters is located in New York City. The position is remote and based in the United States for candidates who can work primarily on Eastern Time.  

The salary for this position is $21/hour.
