Job Summary

This role manages the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial real estate loan transactions, from underwriting and analysis through closing and funding. Responsibilities include evaluating loan opportunities, analyzing borrower and property information, coordinating due diligence, and ensuring all closing and compliance requirements are met. The position works closely with underwriting, investor relations, legal, title, escrow, and servicing teams to support efficient loan origination, execution, and portfolio management. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple transactions are critical for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full transaction lifecycle for a pipeline of commercial real estate loans, including consent transactions and additional advances, along with new originations and refinances; providing underwriting support, closing coordination, funding execution, and post-closing follow-up to ensure timely execution and compliance with loan commitments and company standards.

  • Analyze and underwrite loan transactions by reviewing borrower and tenant financials, real estate fundamentals, third-party reports, title and survey materials, and organizational structures to assess risk and support lending decisions.

  • Prepare, review, and manage loan documentation including underwriting models, commitment letters, legal loan documents, escrow instructions, and funding packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with approved terms.

  • Coordinate cross-functional workflows with internal and external partners (title, escrow, legal, investor relations, servicing) to drive transaction progress, support negotiations, and ensure all due diligence and closing conditions are satisfied.

  • Maintain data, reporting, and portfolio insights by tracking pipeline activity, supporting portfolio reporting and market research, contributing to system improvements, and providing analytical input for investment and operational decisions.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

Education: Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or a related field

Experience: 2+ years of experience in commercial mortgage lending, real estate investment, or a related field.

  • Proficient knowledge of commercial mortgage lending practices, legal documentation, and real estate valuation concepts.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency with and ability to interpret and present underwriting, analysis and closing information clearly.

  • Proficiency with mortgage loan databases, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Adobe Acrobat DC, and cloud platforms like Box, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

$52,750.00 - $77,500.00
