Position Title: Mid Reporting Analyst

Location: LATAM

What you will be doing:

The Report Developer designs, develops, and maintains the SSRS reports and SQL Server objects that deliver  operational, analytical, and customer-facing information across Century's business. This role translates business and  customer requirements into accurate, well-performing, and well-documented reports; supports and monitors the  reporting platform; and partners with business analysts, customer service, and sales to improve the value of Century's  reporting services. The Report Developer II works with a high degree of independence, contributes to reporting  standards, and helps train and mentor junior team members. 

Report Development & Maintenance 

• Design, develop, and maintain complex operational, analytical, and customer-facing reports using SQL Server  Reporting Services (SSRS), adhering to Century's reporting standards. 

• Translate business and customer reporting requirements into clear technical specifications for reports, datasets,  and data visualizations. 

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, relevancy, and timeliness of reports through thorough testing, validation,  and regression testing prior to production deployment. 

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for each report, including associated SQL objects, schedules, delivery  mechanisms, and stakeholder contacts. 

• Follow company source control standards (Git) to version, manage, and deploy report code and datasets. • Maintain and enhance reporting development standards, templates, and best-practice documentation. 

T-SQL & Database Development 

• Write highly optimized T-SQL, including Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, pivots/unpivots,  complex joins, and index-aware query design. 

• Create, modify, and maintain SQL Server database objects required for reporting, including tables, views, stored  procedures, functions, and indexes. 

• Retrieve and combine data from multiple operational and analytical sources (SQL Server and, where required,  PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) to support reporting needs. 

• Optimize report and query performance by analyzing execution plans, indexing strategies, and underlying data  models. 

Reporting Platform & Technical Support 

• Support and maintain the SSRS environment, including data-driven subscriptions, scheduled and automated  report delivery, and folder-level security. 

• Monitor reporting servers and processes for exceptions and performance issues; resolve immediate issues and  implement preventive improvements. 

• Provide troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical support for report-related incidents and data accuracy defects. 

• Accurately update, manage, and close out assigned tasks and tickets in Jira in accordance with service  expectations. 

• Participate in the 24x7 support rotation for reporting platforms as required.

• Improve the quality, security, and controls of Century's reporting environment to protect sensitive and  confidential data.

Communication, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement 

• Collaborate with business analysts, internal stakeholders, and customers to gather requirements and deliver  effective reporting solutions. 

• Clearly communicate report functionality, enhancements, and limitations to business, customer service, and  sales teams, including across time zones. 

• Prepare sample or prototype reports to support sales demonstrations and customer engagements.

• Train and support end users in accessing, understanding, and effectively using reports. 

• Assist with training and mentoring Report Developer team members and cross-train with peers to provide  coverage. 

• Stay current with SQL Server, SSRS, and data visualization trends; leverage modern and AI-assisted tools  where appropriate to improve productivity, quality, and consistency. 

Required Skills & Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Education & Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of  education and experience. 

• 3+ years of experience developing reports with SSRS and T-SQL in a production business environment.

• Working knowledge of relational database design, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes. 

Required Skills 

• Advanced to expert proficiency in SSRS, including report design, subscriptions, and server administration.

• Advanced T-SQL skills, including query optimization and development of reusable database objects.

• Experience retrieving data from multiple database platforms (SQL Server required; PostgreSQL, MySQL, or  Oracle a plus). 

• Working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Power BI. 

• Experience with source control (Git) and ticketing/project tools (Jira). 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Power BI.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred). 

• Supply chain, logistics, or 3PL industry experience. 

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex information clearly to  technical and non-technical audiences.
