Job Title: Medical Virtual Assistant
Position Type: Full-time
Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time (EST) with 1-hour unpaid lunch
Work Days: Monday – Friday
Salary: $5 – $6 per hour

Key Responsibilities (Top Priorities)
- Handle inbound patient calls, schedule appointments, and manage walk-in requests
- Process and manage prior authorizations
- Call patients with lab results (providers write down what needs to be communicated)
Additional Responsibilities
- Process medical records requests and maintain accurate patient records
- Process incoming faxes and attach documents to patient charts
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Provide billing support
- Perform general administrative support (across all locations)
- Assist with medication refill requests
- Conduct patient follow-up calls and respond to patient inquiries

- Regular quality audits conducted by the client.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant in a healthcare setting, with hands-on experience in front desk, medical administration, or patient coordination.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience processing and managing prior authorizations
- Hands-on experience with insurance verification, medication refills/requests, patient records management, and lab result callbacks
- Strong English communication skills with clear, easy-to-understand spoken English, particularly when communicating with elderly patients
- Excellent patient service and phone handling skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with AdvancedMD EHR (preferred)
- Experience working in a primary care or family medicine practice (preferred)
- Spanish-English bilingual skills (is a plus)
Basic Requirements
- Must speak and write English clearly and professionally.
- Must have relevant work experience.
- Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory).
- Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required.
