About the Role:
Snapscale is seeking a skilled Medical Virtual Assistant with pharmaceutical experience to support a U.S.-based healthcare practice in a remote setup. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in pharmacy operations, medication coordination, and healthcare administration. You will play a key role in preparing patient charts, managing prescription refill requests, tracking medical orders, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and update patient charts at least 72 hours prior to scheduled appointments, ensuring all relevant clinical information is complete and organized
- Review patients' previous visits, provider notes, laboratory results, medications, and outstanding tasks to ensure continuity of care
- Manage prescription refill requests by coordinating with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and patients while following clinic protocols
- Track and monitor medical orders, including laboratory tests, imaging requests, referrals, and medical supplies, ensuring timely follow-up and completion
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, documentation, and communication with patients, pharmacies, providers, and clinic staff
- Maintain and update patient records using EMR/EHR systems with accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient clinic workflows
- Ensure all patient information and documentation comply with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies

Requirements
- Must have experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a pharmacy-related role (required)
- Experience working with U.S.-based healthcare providers, clinics, or pharmacies is preferred
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems, patient chart preparation, and medical documentation
- Experience managing prescription refill requests, medication coordination, and communication with healthcare providers and pharmacies
- Familiarity with reviewing patient records, laboratory results, medical orders, and clinical documentation
