Position Responsibilities:

If you are a marketing leader who thrives on building systems, testing new ideas, and creating measurable business impact, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing brand's marketing function. This is not a strategist who hands work off to others. Alongside the product team, you will help build the plan and execute it. You will partner closely with leadership to strengthen lead generation, optimize customer journeys, improve conversion throughout the funnel, and lead external marketing partners while remaining hands-on in execution. Reports to the Chief Operations Officer and VP of Product, with a weekly working cadence.

Role Mission

Make sure the right hosts find us, trust us quickly, and buy by owning the infrastructure that makes that happen, including funnels, email marketing, paid channels, opt-ins, and reporting dashboards.

This role includes:

  • Own and lead the company's marketing strategy across lead generation, email marketing, funnels, and conversion optimization.
  • Develop and continuously test high-performing marketing hooks, messaging, and copy that attracts the ideal customer.
  • Build, optimize, and own email segmentation, automation, and customer journeys.
  • Analyze marketing performance and proactively recommend improvements based on data and testing.
  • Lead and manage external marketing partners, including paid advertising, Instagram execution, website vendors, and other contractors.
  • Partner closely with leadership on YouTube and podcast marketing initiatives while prioritizing performance marketing improvements.
  • Optimize landing pages, sales pages, and funnel performance to improve conversion rates.
  • Build scalable marketing systems and processes that support long-term growth.
  • Stay current on marketing trends, consumer behavior, and emerging best practices while rapidly testing new ideas.
  • Leverage AI responsibly to improve efficiency while ensuring all strategy, creativity, and final work reflects original human thinking.
  • Roll up your sleeves and execute alongside the team rather than operating solely at a strategic level.
  • Present recommendations, insights, and performance updates to leadership with confidence and ownership.
  • Complete a full audit of the existing marketing funnel within the first 60 days and deliver a written strategy with an execution roadmap.
  • Own the marketing performance dashboard, ensuring every funnel, opt-in, and conversion path is tracked and reported weekly.
  • Drive email list growth through thoughtful audience segmentation while monitoring list health, including open rates, click rates, and unsubscribe trends.
  • Own the low-ticket customer acquisition funnel, including sales pages, order bumps, upsell sequencing, and ongoing optimization.
  • Serve as the internal owner of the paid advertising agency relationship, ensuring accountability, communication, and measurable performance.
  • Connect YouTube, podcast, social media, and other organic content into a cohesive customer journey with clear conversion pathways.
