Role Description:
The Marketing Generalist will serve as the organization's lead marketing professional, responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, strengthen brand awareness, support sales effectiveness, and deepen customer engagement.
This individual will be a strategic and hands-on leader who partners closely with Commercial, Product, Clinical, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams to elevate the company's market presence and accelerate business performance. As the primary marketing resource, the Marketing Generalist will have broad responsibility across product marketing, demand generation, sales enablement, communications, events, and market intelligence.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys building programs from the ground up, and is equally comfortable developing strategy and executing day-to-day initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's annual marketing strategy aligned with corporate and commercial objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish marketing priorities, goals, and success metrics.
- Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, customer insights, and competitive intelligence.
- Support commercialization efforts, new market expansion, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to commercial leadership on market trends and customer needs.
Product Marketing & Positioning
- Develop clear, compelling product positioning and messaging.
- Translate clinical, operational, and economic outcomes into customer-facing value propositions.
- Create product collateral, case studies, presentations, ROI models, and market education materials.
- Partner with Clinical and Product teams to communicate product enhancements and innovations.
- Lead product launch planning and execution activities.
Sales Enablement
- Create tools and resources that improve sales productivity and customer engagement.
- Develop presentations, competitive battlecards, objection-handling guides, and proposal support materials.
- Support account-based marketing initiatives targeting key customer segments.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership to improve lead generation, pipeline development, and conversion rates.
- Provide marketing support for customer meetings, executive briefings, and strategic opportunities.
Demand Generation & Market Development
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness and generate qualified opportunities.
- Manage digital marketing initiatives, including website content, email campaigns, webinars, and social media.
- Build targeted programs for health plans, providers, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Measure campaign effectiveness and optimize programs based on performance data.
- Support lead nurturing and customer engagement initiatives.
Customer Communications & Thought Leadership
- Manage company messaging across all external communication channels.
- Develop newsletters, customer communications, educational content, and thought leadership materials.
- Support public relations efforts, media opportunities, and executive communications.
- Coordinate content development to support customer retention and market expansion.
- Ensure consistency of brand and messaging across all customer touchpoints.
Conferences, Events & Industry Engagement
- Lead planning and execution of industry conferences, trade shows, webinars, and customer events.
- Develop event strategies that maximize visibility, lead generation, and customer engagement.
- Coordinate booth messaging, presentations, marketing materials, and post-event follow-up.
- Measure event ROI and recommend improvements for future participation.
Market Intelligence & Analytics
- Monitor healthcare industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
- Conduct market research to support strategic decision-making.
- Track and report key marketing performance indicators.
- Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support forecasting, market assessments, and growth planning activities.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Clinical, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams.
- Ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and organizational priorities.
- Lead marketing projects from concept through execution.
- Serve as the organization's primary marketing expert and resource.
Qualifications:
- Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive marketing experience.
- Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies.
- Experience supporting B2B sales organizations.
- Strong content development, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations and customer-facing materials.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results independently.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within medical device, healthcare technology, digital health, remote patient monitoring, or healthcare services.
- Knowledge of payer, provider, and healthcare delivery markets.
- Experience marketing clinical and economic outcomes.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
