Assistant
Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Virtual
Assistant to support a growing event planning and destination wedding business.
The primary focus of this role is to build, implement, and manage marketing
funnels using provided strategy and content, while ensuring seamless
integration across email marketing, social media, Pinterest, and WordPress.
The business owner provides strategy, brand guidelines, and
core content. The VA will be responsible for executing the technical mechanics
and workflow setup to ensure systems function efficiently and consistently.
This is a long-term part-time role with potential for
ongoing collaboration.
Scope of Work:
- Email
Funnel Setup & Management (Primary Priority)
Platform: Mailchimp
- Build
and manage automated email funnels using provided lead magnets and content
- Set
up full workflow automations (opt-ins, tagging, segmentation, nurture
sequences)
- Ensure
proper lead capture and integration
- Monitor
subscriber list health and organization
- Coordinate
leads into correct email sequences
- Implement
best practices based on provided strategy
- Troubleshoot
workflow issues as needed
- Social
Media Scheduling & Coordination
Platforms: Instagram / Facebook / LinkedIn
- Schedule
content across platforms
- Repurpose
blog content into social snippets
- Maintain
brand voice using detailed brand guidelines
- Keep
Facebook active as a “mini storefront”
- Maintain
Instagram presence (primary platform focus)
- Ensure
cohesive messaging across platforms
- Coordinate
social posts with funnel promotions
- Note: Business owner maintains strong brand oversight; VA must follow detailed
brand guidelines closely.
- Pinterest
Marketing Integration
Platform: Pinterest
- Create
Pinterest pins linked to blogs and lead magnets
- Optimize
pins to drive traffic into email funnel
- Ensure
visual alignment with brand guidelines
- Connect
blog → Pinterest → lead magnet → email funnel workflow
- WordPress
Website Support
Platform: WordPress
- Upload
and format blog posts
- Update
branding elements (colors, fonts, styling)
- Adjust
page layouts as needed
- Insert
video, slides, images, and links
- Stretch
and format images properly for full-width display
- Implement
minor design updates consistent with brand refresh
- Note: Advanced development not required, but strong working proficiency with
WordPress is necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven
experience building email funnels in Mailchimp
- Strong
understanding of automation workflows
- Experience
with social media scheduling tools
- Working
proficiency in WordPress (content updates, formatting, design adjustments)
- Experience
with Pinterest marketing
- Strong
organizational skills
- Excellent
written English
- Ability
to follow detailed brand and content guidelines
- Self-directed
and proactive communicator
- Experience
in wedding, event planning, or travel industries is a plus
- Basic
graphic design capability
- Understanding
of US-based clientele behavior (especially wedding/destination market)
