Description
TMRW Sports is seeking an experienced Email Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day coordination and execution of email marketing campaigns for participating TGL and WTGL clubs. This contract role will work directly with club stakeholders and internal TMRW Sports teams to support team content plans, league moments, and business priorities, turning them into timely, engaging, and measurable email campaigns that grow team fandom and deepen fan engagement.
The Team Services Email Marketing Manager will serve as the primary email marketing partner for clubs participating in Team Services. Working closely with the League’s Team Business Operations, Digital – Golf team, TMRW Sports Shared Services, team stakeholders, and internal and external creative partners, this person will support and manage team email planning, develop email content calendars, coordinate copy and creative assets, execute campaigns, and work with the TMRW Sports Shared Services team to apply email marketing best practices across audience segmentation, send timing, testing, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Own the day-to-day email content operation for participating TGL and WTGL clubs, including email content development, production, review and approvals, and deployment.
- Work with each club to receive and review its broader content and marketing plans, identify relevant email opportunities, and translate team priorities into an actionable email marketing plan.
- Support clubs with recommendations and best practices based on company-wide learnings to use email effectively across key fan moments, including team and player announcements, ticketing, match promotion, tune-in, content distribution, merchandise, fan engagement, and other club priorities.
- Working with Digital – Golf, create and maintain an integrated team email content calendar that provides visibility into planned sends across participating clubs and incorporates the broader TGL and WTGL league content calendar.
- Write, edit, and package clear, engaging, fan-first email copy, including subject lines, preheader text, headlines, body copy, calls to action, and promotional messaging.
- Alongside the Team Services Content Manager, maintain effective and prompt communication with each participating club via league-created Slack channels, including the creation and distribution of a post-match recap summary of published content following each match.
- Manage campaign review and approval workflows across club and league stakeholders, maintaining clear deadlines and ownership throughout the process.
- Partner with internal and external creative teams to brief, develop, review, and deliver email creative assets that meet campaign objectives and league, club, sponsor, and brand requirements.
- Collaborate with the TMRW Sports Shared Services team on audience segmentation, deliverability, testing, and performance reporting to ensure club email programs align with league-wide CRM strategy and email governance.
- Track projects, tasks, and hours in the designated project management platform to support end-of-season reporting and billing for participating clubs and the league.
- Support additional team email content needs and special projects assigned during the contract term.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in email content marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, digital marketing, or a related role for a sports team, league, brand, agency, media organization, or consumer-facing company.
- Experience developing email content and campaign plans across multiple brands, teams, markets, or stakeholder groups.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills, with demonstrated ability to write effective subject lines, preheader text, headlines, body copy, and calls to action.
- Hands-on experience building, testing, troubleshooting, and deploying email campaigns through Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable enterprise email service provider, including working knowledge of HTML/CSS email templates and responsive email design principles.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage concurrent campaigns, stakeholder reviews, approvals, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to gather needs, provide recommendations, set expectations, and work effectively with internal teams, clubs, agencies, and external partners.
- Strong knowledge of professional golf and familiarity with TGL and WTGL, including the ability to identify relevant team, player, competition, ticketing, and fan-engagement opportunities.
- Availability during and ahead of competition periods, including evenings and weekends when required by TGL and WTGL schedules or campaign needs.
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the contract term, with the potential for additional hours as needed.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, digital media, marketing, sports management, or related field.
- Experience supporting professional sports teams, local markets, or franchise stakeholders within a league structure.
- Experience collaborating with creative teams to develop responsive, mobile-first email assets and reusable campaign templates.
- Experience supporting ticketing, tune-in, content, merchandise, membership, or fan-engagement campaigns.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Experience with Litmus or comparable email QA/testing platforms.
You’ll be successful if:
- Participating clubs have clear, coordinated email plans that support their business, content, and fan-development priorities.
- Team email campaigns are accurate, timely, engaging, brand-aligned, and delivered through a reliable planning, review, and quality-assurance process.
- Club and league email calendars are coordinated effectively, with limited unnecessary duplication, audience overlap, or competing messages.
- Club stakeholders view Team Services as a proactive email marketing partner that brings ideas, sound judgment, responsiveness, and dependable execution.
- You thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and bring strong writing, attention to detail, flexibility, and a fan-first mindset to the work.
Contract Details:
- This is a contract position for the period of November 1, 2026, through May 1, 2027.
- The anticipated workload is up to 40 hours per week, with weekly hours based on team needs. There is potential for more than 40 hours per week during specific weeks of the season.
- The hourly rate range is $50-$75 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- This engagement will require flexibility around the TGL and WTGL competition schedules, including evenings and weekends.
