About the opportunity  

We are excited to offer the role of Manager Systems and Reporting within the Workforce Compliance and Payroll team in the People and Wellbeing Division.  

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the operation, governance, enhancement and continuous improvement of the University's people systems ecosystem, including MyHR (Oracle PeopleSoft HCM), PageUp, Culture Amp, ServiceNow, reporting platforms and other associated technologies.  

Leading a small specialist team, you will drive workforce reporting, data quality, system upgrades, compliance reviews and automation initiatives that enable efficient, compliant and effective people operations. You will work closely with stakeholders across People and Wellbeing, Payroll Services, IT, Finance and external vendors to strengthen reporting capability, support payroll compliance and deliver trusted people insights that inform decision-making across the University. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced systems and reporting professional who enjoys leading teams, solving complex problems and delivering continuous improvement in a large and dynamic environment. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead and manage the University's People Systems and Reporting function, ensuring reliable, secure and effective people systems and services  
  • Provide functional leadership and oversight for PeopleTools and PUM upgrades, batch processing, Process Scheduler environments, system security, integration monitoring and operational stability,  
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of complex people system incidents, defects and configuration issues.  
  • Manage the delivery of periodic operational, statutory, regulatory and workforce analytics reporting processes. 
  • Lead the enhancement of workforce data integrity and data quality 
  • Lead system-enabled continuous improvement and HR transformation initiatives, including workflow automation and Power Platform opportunities,  
  • Partner with Payroll Services, Workforce Compliance and Payroll, and People and Wellbeing stakeholders to support payroll compliance, assurance and remediation requirements,  
  • Lead and develop team capability across the Systems and Reporting function.  

What we’re looking for: 

  • Experience leading the management, administration and continuous improvement of enterprise people systems in a complex organisation.   
  • Experience leading PeopleSoft HCM or comparable HRIS administration, upgrades and system improvement activities  
  • Ability to lead staff and coordinate specialist technical work including prioritising workloads, coaching, document management and high standard service delivery.  
  • Strong capability in workforce data analysis, reporting and insight generation. 
  • Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex system, data and process issues, exercise sound judgement, meet deadlines and implement sustainable solutions.  
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills 

Salary details 

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 9 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $160,613 comprising base salary within the range of $130,242 to $137,276 plus 17% superannuation.
