What You Will Do:

  • Manage complex soil, groundwater, and sediment remediation projects involving investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial design/operation.

  • Select, manage, and oversee environmental consultants.

  • Effectively control environmental risks, liabilities, and costs, while appropriately protecting human health and the environment.

  • Estimate, manage, and track environmental remediation costs.

  • Support environmental counsel during mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and litigation matters as necessary.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in geology, engineering, environmental science, or related technical field.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the environmental remediation field (5 years with advanced degree).

  • Demonstrated experience in environmental project management.

  • Working knowledge of related federal/state regulations.

  • Willingness for domestic and to a lesser extent, international travel (overall 5-10%).


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 10 years or greater of professional work experience in environmental management.

  • Strong knowledge of related federal/state regulations.

  • Experience working in the manufacturing sector (aerospace manufacturing considered to be a plus).

  • Experience with the investigation and remediation of chlorinated solvent, petroleum hydrocarbon, heavy metals, PFAS, PCB, and other common industrial contaminants.

  • Experience mitigating soil vapor intrusion concerns in industrial and residential settings.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
