Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Manager of Portfolio Execution to join our growing team.


Job Summary:

 

This position maintains operational rigor, visibility, and execution discipline across the Operations portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence, this role acts as an operational extension of portfolio leadership by driving cadence, maintaining portfolio health, validating initiative status and metrics, and translating fragmented updates into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the operating rhythm for the portfolio, including weekly status cadence, RAID management, risk escalation, follow-through tracking, and leadership readiness.
  • Ensure initiatives maintain clear ownership, defined KPIs, measurable outcomes, and current status within portfolio management tools.
  • Identify execution drift, gaps, or inconsistencies early and escalate concerns with supporting context and recommendations.
  • Consolidate initiative updates into concise executive-level summaries, dashboards, governance materials, and portfolio readouts.
  • Translate fragmented operational information into clear narratives that highlight risks, dependencies, decisions, and progress against targets.
  • Maintain portfolio-wide visibility into initiative health, sequencing, benefits realization, and operational impacts.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and metrics to track initiative progress, operational performance, delivery effectiveness, and realized benefits.
  • Validate measurement logic, assumptions, timing, and KPI integrity in partnership with Finance and initiative owners.
  • Perform root-cause analysis when metrics or execution trends miss expectations and support corrective action planning.
  • Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across Operations, Technology, Product, Clinical, PMO, Finance, and Change Management teams.
  • Support initiative owners in maintaining execution momentum, resolving blockers, and driving follow-through on commitments.
  • Assist with change readiness activities, stakeholder coordination, and operational adoption support where needed.
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of portfolio management routines, operational excellence tools, governance practices, and scalable ways of working.
  • Capture lessons learned and operational insights to improve future initiative execution and portfolio maturity.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position primarily involves working at a desk and using a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR will consider years of experience in lieu of a degree. 
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in operational excellence, portfolio operations, business operations, PMO transformation execution, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain execution rigor across multiple concurrent initiatives in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience building executive-ready dashboards, summaries, and governance materials.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex operational information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong written/verbal communication, meeting cadence discipline, and follow-through management.
  • Strong organizational awareness, judgment, and ability to operate with urgency and professionalism across leadership levels.
  • This position may require up to 10% business travel. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in healthcare services, technology delivery, or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six-Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-moving environment, while maintaining operational rigor.

Experience in Lieu of Degree

 

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

Compensation

 

The pay range for this position is listed below. 

 

“Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.”


Pay Range

USD $86,320.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
