This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 08/31/2027.

 

Your impact on the team:

  • Demonstrates a strong collaborative style in working with peers within and outside own portfolio and function.
  • Acts as a coach or mentor, developing direct reports by providing feedback and direction.

  • Makes the tough people decisions necessary to ensure current and future success; proactively creates growth and training plans to keep employee skills current.
  • Stays up to date in the field - both industry and market; proactively establishes external networks. 

What you will be doing 

  • Managing a growing group of Supervisors and Instructional Designers, including coaching and growing existing employees as well as selecting and onboarding new hires.
  • Working at the project team level in an agile structure, helping to orchestrate the work for several delivery teams focused on build.
  • Collaborating with a cross-functional team including product management, subject matter experts, visual designers, project management, marketing, and engineering to define new holistic experiences, print and digital, for our ELA program.
  • Leading a team to execute on the build of several new and updated digital programs, specifically focused on teacher- and student-facing activities.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with senior leaders and peers across functional areas. Collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus around new ideas and ways of working.
  • Making decisions guided by resource availability and functional scope; developing and managing operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.
  • Using knowledge and feedback from an external perspective to improve products and services; articulating what customer or market problem needs to be solved when making recommendations.
  • Generating creative solutions by bringing talented people together; working to improve new ideas rather than discouraging them.

We're looking for someone with 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field required.
  • 1+ years of management experience with direct reports.
  • Instructional Design expertise related to research, theory, and application in the field of education.
  • Broad experience and proficiency in various authoring tools.
  • Experience working with multiple LMSs.
  • Experience managing a team responsible for the creation of interactive materials, multimedia, and learning games in an educational setting. 

 

The pay range for this position is between $80,000 - $95,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.  Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
