The manager oversees the full grant lifecycle for the Workforce Innovation & Systems portfolio, including award activation, financial monitoring, and compliance. They serve as the central coordination point for cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency and risk mitigation.

Portfolio Administration & Award Setup
Systems, SOPs, & Documentation Management
Request For Proposal (RFP) Administration
Financial Coordination & Invoicing
Monitoring, Reporting and Compliance
Closeout & Audit Readiness
Risk Escalation & Team Coordination
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Daily contact with GII team members to coordinate projects and support activities.
Local Goodwills: Frequent contact with representatives of Goodwill member organizations.
External: Contact with donors, funders, vendors and partners.
SKILLS NEEDED:
EDUCATION: | Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Project Management, Human Services or a related field. Master’s degree preferred but not required. Professional certifications such as PMP, or grant management desirable. |
EXPERIENCE: | Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in grant administration, project management, nonprofit administration or other operational roles. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Excel-based tracking tools, dashboards and collaboration platforms. |
DECISION MAKING: | This position should exercise moderate independent judgment within established policies, procedures, and grant requirements. |
SUPERVISION: | Works under general supervision with considerable latitude in organizing and executing assigned responsibilities. Work is reviewed for overall effectiveness, compliance, and results. |
PHYSICAL EFFORT: | Sedentary with lifting 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles or files. Walking and standing are required occasionally; long hours sitting at a desk and using a computer. |
