JOB SUMMARY:

The Facilities Training & Recruiting Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and sustaining a high-performing facilities workforce through strategic recruiting, training, and workforce development initiatives. This role oversees recruiting and training staff, partners closely with Facilities, Operations, HR, and Safety leadership, and ensures the organization attracts, develops, and retains qualified facilities, maintenance, and technical professionals.

The position includes direct team leadership and regular travel to support recruiting pipelines and community workforce partnerships.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Manages full-cycle recruiting for facilities, maintenance, engineering, and skilled-trades roles
  • Leads, coaches, and develops recruiting and training reports, including performance management and career development
  • Partners with Facilities leadership to identify workforce gaps and forecast staffing needs
  • Builds and maintains talent pipelines through career fairs, colleges, technical schools, trade programs, and community partnerships
  • Represents the organization at recruiting events and workforce development initiatives (travel required)
  • Designs, implements, and oversees facilities-focused training programs, including onboarding, safety, compliance, technical, and leadership development
  • Conducts training needs assessments and develops programs aligned with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensures consistency and quality of training delivery across locations
  • Evaluates training effectiveness using performance data, safety outcomes, and feedback
  • Manages LMS platforms, training documentation, SOPs, and job aids
  • Supports succession planning, career pathways, and internal mobility for facilities staff
  • Tracks recruiting and training metrics and reports outcomes to leadership
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, employment laws, and safety standards
  • Completes other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Complies with all safety regulations and protocols
  • Maintains effective communication with internal and external partners

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Human Resources, Training & Development, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 5+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 3+ years

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA

  • Facilities and maintenance workforce recruiting
  • Skilled trades and technical talent pipelines
  • Training program design and adult learning principles
  • Safety, compliance, and regulatory training
  • Leadership and people management
  • Workforce planning and succession development
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally at external events
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to facilities and operations leadership

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annual
