Job Purpose

We are looking for a results-driven SEO & Digital Marketing Manager to join Mashreq Retail Marketing. The role will be responsible for driving organic growth, improving search visibility, and working closely with external agencies to achieve annual SEO performance targets to acquire New-to-Bank (NTB) customers. In addition, the candidate will support tactical campaigns for Existing-to-Bank (ETB) customers and collaborate across internal stakeholders to deliver strong digital performance. The ideal candidate should be highly analytical, proactive, AI-savvy, and possess strong communication and presentation skills.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute Search Engine Optimisation, App Store Optimisation, and AI Search Optimisation strategies to improve organic rankings, website/app/AI traffic, lead generation and support overall New-to-bank acquisition across Retail Marketing segments 
  • Work closely with Marketing leads, Segment leads and appointed SEO agencies to ensure timely execution and achievement of KPIs.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor benchmarking, backlink strategy, and technical SEO audits.
  • Monitor website health, indexing, page speed, crawlability, and on-page optimization.
  • Track SEO performance through tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, etc.
  • Liaise closely with the Website / Technology team to ensure all SEO recommendations, technical fixes, content updates, and optimization initiatives are implemented within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor progress of development requests and prioritize key SEO enhancements to maximize performance.
  • Work collaboratively with the agency to prepare accurate and insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports covering rankings, traffic, conversions, key achievements, and future action plans.
  • Deliver monthly performance reports with insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Leverage AI tools for content generation, keyword opportunities, automation, competitor insights, reporting, and campaign optimization.
  • Continuously identify new technologies and digital trends to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Support tactical campaigns for Existing-to-Bank customers across digital channels.

 

Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships

  • Collaborate with agency and internal teams including Product, Tech, Analytics and website teams.

  • Manage agency relationships and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within scope.

  • Present performance updates, opportunities, and strategies to senior stakeholders.

  • Remote Working role based in Pakistan.

 

Problem Solving

  • Identify SEO performance gaps and implement corrective actions to improve rankings, traffic, and conversions.
  • Resolve technical SEO issues in coordination with website and agency teams to minimize impact on performance.
  • Analyze campaign and website data to recommend optimization opportunities and improve ROI.
  • Proactively address delays, stakeholder dependencies, and execution challenges to ensure targets are met.  

 

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility

  • Recommend and prioritize SEO initiatives, content opportunities, and optimization plans aligned to business goals.
  • Take day-to-day decisions on agency deliverables, and reporting actions within approved scope.
  • Escalate major risks, budget implications, or strategic changes to management with proposed solutions.
  • Own delivery of agreed SEO targets, campaign execution timelines, and stakeholder coordination outcomes.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in SEO / Digital Marketing.
  • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, technical SEO, and content optimization.
  • Experience working with digital agencies and managing external partners.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision making.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AI tools for marketing, automation, and performance enhancement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal English communication skills), and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Strong expertise in banking products marketing with proven track records
  • Deep understanding of business dynamics, profitability and growth drivers
  • Entrepreneurial with strong drive to succeed, with commitment & result orientation
  • Creative thinker, strong ideation, good people communicator & relentless executor with attention to detail
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders 
  • Experience working at a global financial or technology company or collaborating directly or remotely with an international organization in a similar domain would be an added advantage (Experience working for the UAE market would be a plus)  
  • Education level: Bachelor’s degree (Post Graduate degree would be a plus)
