Summary

The Manager, Clinical Value Analysis is responsible for supporting and executing a structured, evidence-based approach to evaluating clinical products and services. This role ensures alignment between clinical outcomes, patient safety, operational efficiency, and total cost of care. The Manager partners closely with clinical leaders, physicians, supply chain, finance, infection prevention, and operational teams to evaluate product utilization, support standardization initiatives, and implement cost-effective solutions that align with the organization’s quality and financial goals. This role plays a key part in driving product initiatives and supporting data-informed decision-making across clinical service lines.

This position requires up to 50% travel to support onsite engagement with partner facilities, including stakeholder meetings, product evaluations, and implementation support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Value Analysis Program Leadership

  • Support and facilitate Value Analysis Committees (VAC) and service line advisory groups, ensuring appropriate clinical representation and engagement

  • Execute standardized value analysis processes, policies, and evaluation frameworks for clinical products and services

  • Ensure product evaluations incorporate clinical evidence, regulatory requirements, infection prevention considerations, and financial impact

Clinical & Operational Collaboration

  • Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, service line directors, and operational leaders to evaluate new technologies, product requests, and standardization opportunities

  • Serve as a liaison between clinical stakeholders, facility supply chain teams, and Client Engagement teams to align clinical needs with sourcing strategies

  • Support clinical teams in identifying opportunities to improve patient outcomes, workflow efficiency, and product utilization

Financial Stewardship & Cost Optimization

  • Support initiatives that drive cost savings, contract compliance, and product standardization while maintaining quality of care

  • Conduct financial analyses including ROI modeling, utilization reviews, cost comparisons, and savings tracking

  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to leverage GPO contracts, vendor negotiations, and supply chain strategies

Data & Performance Management

  • Support development and maintenance of value analysis dashboards and performance metrics, including:

    • Savings achieved

    • Contract compliance

    • Standardization progress

    • Product utilization trends

    • Utilize data analytics to identify variation and opportunities for improvement

Regulatory & Quality Alignment

  • Ensure product evaluations align with:

    • Regulatory standards

    • Patient safety requirements

    • Infection prevention guidelines

    • Clinical best practices

    • Collaborate with Quality, Risk Management, and Infection Prevention teams as needed

Leadership & Team Collaboration

  • Provide guidance and support to Value Analysis Analysts, Clinical Resource Specialists, and cross-functional team members

  • Foster collaboration across clinical, operational, and supply chain teams

  • Support education of stakeholders on value analysis processes and best practices

Travel & Onsite Support

  • Travel up to 50% to partner facilities to:

    • Provide onsite support and attend stakeholder meetings as needed

    • Support product evaluations

    • Assist with implementation and conversion activities

Work Experience, Education, and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required

  • Active RN clinical licensure

  • 5–8+ years of healthcare experience required

  • 3+ years in value analysis, supply chain, or clinical resource management preferred

  • Physicians and clinical leadership experience required (executive, C-suite leadership preferred).

  • Interdisciplinary clinical teams experience.

  • Medical device and clinical supply categories experience.

  • Healthcare contracting and GPO environments experience preferred.

  • Product evaluation committees experience.

  • Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP) preferred.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certification preferred.

Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a clinically driven leader with strong perioperative/operating room experience who can bridge clinical practice, supply chain, and financial stewardship. The ideal candidate understands surgical workflows and physician preference products and can confidently partner with clinicians and organizational leaders to evaluate products, lead conversions, support standardization, and advance evidence-based value analysis initiatives.
