Local SEO Specialist – Entry Level (Remote, LATAM)

Description

This is a remote independent contractor opportunity working closely with our US-based team. Candidates should have strong English communication skills and availability for scheduled collaboration during US Central or Eastern Time hours.

At Rankings.io, we are committed to providing end-to-end SEM services, including content creation, technical optimization, and keyword strategy for law firms looking for aggressive growth across multiple digital platforms. We are looking for a Local SEO Analyst who has a passion for local discovery, a natural curiosity for website optimization, the ability to partner with content marketing to drive hyper-local content growth, and a knack for being proactive in pursuing growth opportunities for their book of business.

Responsibilities

• Manage agency legal directory listings for accuracy and optimization

• Ensure NAP (Name, Address and Phone) are consistent across industry sites

• Optimize Google Business Profile listings for prime visibility

• Work with an established service client managing their local listings and demonstrating an understanding of Local SEO.

• Collaborate with the client’s established data aggregator vendors and partners to boost inbound citation growth

• Utilize business acumen to work closely with client teams to identify and fully understand business needs, campaign performance objectives, and opportunities to grow the relationship and client investments

• Assemble reports to develop and present recommendations for clients and rank software to gauge progress and inform the client of the value being provided

• Partner with SEO teams and account management to identify geographic keywords to attract local customers and ensure the development of high-quality, optimized local content for the website

• Identifying critical client/account issues and escalating them to appropriate executives in a timely manner

• Keep up with the SEO (national and local) and AI industry through blogs, publishers, competitive research, etc. and regularly sharing thought leadership

• Expected to retain existing business, while pursuing profitable growth opportunities for assigned client account, both in SEO investments and cross-channel upsells

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing or a related field, including internships

• Interest in doing SEO work for clients within an agency environment

• Interest in local SEO or local SEO listings management for enterprise brand(s)

• Desire to contribute to local strategy for large-growth SEO clients

• Working knowledge of Local SEO best practices, Google Business Profile, GBP API

• Familiarity with Local SEO principles for landing pages, reviews, ratings, and citations management

• Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Internet proficiency are required

• Technology and Security Requirement: Contractors accessing Rankings.io systems and client data are required, under the terms of the Contractor Services Agreement, to maintain endpoint security software (Huntress) for the duration of the engagement. This does not grant Rankings.io remote access to, or control over, contractor devices.

Compensation & Work Environment

• Monthly retainer of $1,500 - $2,000 USD, invoiced by the contractor.

Engagement Type

This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor engagement. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations in their country of residence. The selected candidate will provide services to Rankings.io as an independent contractor pursuant to a written contractor agreement. Contractors must reside in an eligible country. What to Expect in the Interview Process

1. Human Resume Review: Your resume will be reviewed by our Talent Acquisition team: Real people, not AI.

2. One-Way Video Interview: Selected candidates will be sent a link to complete a one-way video interview. Please plan to record in your typical work-from-home environment, ensuring it is well-lit and free of distractions.

3. Live Zoom Interview: Candidates who move forward will meet with Talent Acquisition and the Hiring Manager for a live Zoom interview to discuss experience, role expectations, and project fit.

4. Practical Skills Assessment (30–45 minutes): Candidates who advance will complete a short, practical assessment designed to evaluate foundational Local SEO knowledge, including Google Business Profile optimization, citation management, local keyword research, and attention to detail.

5. Final Zoom Interview: Candidates who successfully complete the skills assessment will be invited to a final Zoom interview with the Hiring Managers.
