Job Description

Join a Nationwide Team Designed to Help You Grow

Fairway is expanding and seeking experienced Mortgage Loan Originators across the country. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build and strengthen referral relationships, guide borrowers through the home financing process, and leverage the support of an established operations team.


Mortgage Loan Origination:
  • Originate residential mortgage loans, including discussing loan options, taking loan applications, and gathering required documentation and information from borrowers and business partners.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of mortgage opportunities while meeting production and service expectations.
  • Partner with processing, underwriting, closing, and other internal teams throughout the loan process.
  • Develop and execute business development and marketing strategies that support growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company products, programs, policies, and industry guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, federal regulations, state regulations, and the SAFE Act.
  • Respond promptly to client, partner, and referral source inquiries.
  • Educate borrowers on mortgage products, lending guidelines, and the loan process.
  • Review and evaluate financial information to help identify appropriate financing solutions based on individual needs and goals.

Business Development & Relationship Management:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, attorneys, financial professionals, and other referral partners.
  • Participate in networking events, industry organizations, and community activities to expand professional connections and business opportunities.
  • Attend occasional off-site meetings, events, and industry functions.

Experience:
  • Experience analyzing information and making sound business decisions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating in a team-oriented environment.

Mortgage Industry Experience:
  • Active mortgage loan originator license in the state(s) where loans are originated.
  • SAFE Act compliant.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NMLS registration and company sponsorship where required.
  • Previous experience in mortgage loan origination, retail lending, or mortgage sales preferred.
  • Experience developing and maintaining referral relationships with industry partners is preferred.
  • Experience managing an active loan pipeline is preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of mortgage loan products, including Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA programs.
  • Understanding of mortgage lending processes, documentation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with secondary market guidelines and loan program eligibility requirements.
  • Understanding of mortgage-related concepts such as escrow, taxes, insurance, and closing documentation.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
