Job Description

The Learning Designer is responsible for supporting the design and development of learning resources, interactive and technology-driven learning objects, and other support materials for SAE’s courses. This role contributes to the design and implementation of blended learning experiences across new and existing courses at SAE Australia. 

This role will be offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will bring experience in mentoring and coaching academic faculty and/or contracted SMEs to deliver high quality digital learning experiences, an ability to manage multiple projects/stakeholders to tight deadlines and a demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting innovative learning and teaching practices. 

An ability to navigate and advise on critical and ethical collaboration with GenAI tools will be highly regarded.

 

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in instructional/learning design (expertise in blended and/or online delivery preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in working with learning management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a higher educational context (teacher, educational manager).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and ability to relate to other people and to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • High level of digital skills and a proven work record of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
