Lead Payroll FOP Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Lead Payroll FOP Accountant with a focus on international management accounting, payroll, and tax compliance.

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for full-cycle management payroll, accounting system automation, and regulatory compliance across key company jurisdictions (Ukraine, Cyprus, Poland).

In this role, you will:

• Payroll Management: Organize and strictly control the full cycle of management payroll, bonuses, and other related payouts.

• Management Accounting & Budgeting: Ensure the accurate reflection of expenses in management accounting, prepare consolidated data for management reporting, and actively participate in the budgeting process.

• International Compliance & Taxation: Research and analyze taxation specifics across various jurisdictions, ensure document accuracy, and guarantee that all processes are fully compliant with local and international legislation.

• Process Automation & Systems: Systematically optimize accounting processes, write technical specifications (Tech Specs) for developers to enhance the accounting system, and assist in the configuration and implementation of HR software.

• Team Leadership & Communication: Coordinate the team's daily operations, provide financial guidance to colleagues, and maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors/contractors.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• Tax Legislation: Strong knowledge of Ukrainian tax laws (Private Entrepreneurs/FOP, Labor Code) and a solid understanding of EU tax systems (specifically Cyprus and Poland).

• Spreadsheet Mastery: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets (complex formulas, pivot tables, working with large datasets).

• Software Experience: Hands-on experience with accounting systems (1C, MBC, etc.) and modern HR software/HRIS.

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to process complex financial data and build logical frameworks.

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the team, stakeholders, and vendors.

• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in calculations, reporting, and documentation.

Desired Experience (Nice to Have)

• Seniority: 7+ years of professional experience in management accounting or finance.

• Leadership: Proven background in managerial or team lead roles.

• International Exposure: Practical experience managing payroll, taxes, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions (Ukraine, Poland, Cyprus, etc.).
