The Lead Medical Education Consultant is a strategic, customer-facing role that partners with sales, customer success, marketing, and product teams to drive adoption and growth of McGraw Hill's medical education solutions across undergraduate and graduate medical education markets. This individual serves as a trusted subject matter expert, leveraging clinical and academic experience to align McGraw Hill products with institutional learning objectives, accreditation standards, and evolving medical curricula while supporting customers throughout the sales cycle. This role also contributes thought leadership, provides market and customer insights to influence product strategy, and represents McGraw Hill at conferences and industry events. Ideal candidates are board-certified physicians with significant faculty experience, strong communication and consultative skills, and a passion for advancing medical education through innovative digital solutions.

 

This role is a remote position, and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. Candidates should be open to travelling up to 30% of the time.

 

What you will be doing...

Sales & Customer Success

  • Train and develop the sales & customer success team on medical education topics, including curricula models, faculty personas, and accreditation frameworks
  • Partner with sales & customer success in pre-sales and post-sales engagement, providing expert credibility, guidance, and support throughout the sales cycle
  • Meet regularly with existing and prospective customers to understand institutional needs and deliver consultative solutions
  • Build and sustain relationships with medical educators, institutional leaders, and stakeholders through conferences, networks, and professional associations
  • Represent MH at medical education conferences and academic associations, (i.e. AAMC, AACOM, IAMSE, etc.)
  •  Advise sales & customer success on appropriate products/solutions that coincide with specific customer needs and curriculum alignment
  • Conduct expert product demonstrations across multiple MH platforms, illustrating alignment with teaching and assessment practices
  • Align MH solutions with institutional learning objectives, competencies and accreditation standards
  • Monitor and interpret emerging trends in undergraduate medical education and graduate medical education

Marketing

  • Create thought leadership content, including articles, white papers, and case studies
  • Lead internal & external webinars, roundtables, and faculty discussions on medical education topics
  • Play critical role in supporting student advisory boards, faculty advisory boards, and VIP events
  • Collaborate with marketing team to create collateral that supports the sales and customer success team with their communications and customer visits

Product

  • Serve as liaison between sales and product teams, providing strategic feedback from the field to inform product enhancements and market alignment
  • Collaborate with product and user research teams to serve as voice of the customer 
  • Provide strategic insight into customer behaviors, pain points, and needs
  • Maintain strong understanding of competitive landscape and how they compare to MH solutions
  • Advise on curriculum integration, mapping strategies, and product use case

 

We’re looking for someone with…

  • Board certified M.D. or D.O. with clinical experience required (Internal Medicine/Family Medicine most relevant)
  • Minimum 7 years of faculty experience, maintenance of active faculty status preferred
  • Administration or leadership experience in academic medicine preferred
  • Familiarity with LCME/COCA accreditation process required
  • Familiarity with different medical curricula models required
  • Sales/business development experience preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and consultancy skills
  • Commitment to inclusive medical education practices and cultural competence in all engagements
  • Digital fluency with LMS platforms, university ecosystems, Salesforce, and productivity tools (MS Office, Zoom, Asana, AI tools)

The pay range for this position is between $121,800 - $175,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
