Korean Transcription Specialist for AI Training

An enterprise client is seeking detail-oriented Korean Transcriptionists to support the development and improvement of Artificial Intelligence systems through high-quality language data.

The selected consultants will help produce accurate Korean transcriptions from spoken audio and review and clean existing transcripts. This is an excellent opportunity for native Korean speakers with strong listening skills who are comfortable identifying speech nuances, handling multiple speakers, and following detailed transcription guidelines.

Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for native Korean speakers with excellent listening and attention-to-detail skills who enjoy working independently on language and AI-related projects.

What You'll Do:

• Produce accurate transcriptions of spoken Korean audio.
• Review, clean up, and correct existing Korean audio transcripts.
• Accurately handle multiple speakers, crosstalk, filled pauses, and background noise.
• Follow detailed transcription, style, and formatting guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency across assignments.
• Work independently and asynchronously according to your own schedule.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Korean.
• Excellent Korean listening and comprehension skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage assigned work independently.

Nice to Haves:

• Previous experience as a transcriptionist or court reporter.
• Experience with subtitles or closed-captioning.
• Background in linguistics.
• Previous experience with data annotation or transcription platforms.

Additional Information

• Fully remote contract opportunity.
• Flexible and asynchronous work schedule.
• Expected workload is 10–39 hours per week, depending on project needs.
• Weekly payments for approved work completed during the previous week.
• Work volume may fluctuate throughout the duration of the engagement.
• Selected candidates will receive an Upwork contract and onboarding instructions for the client's tasking platform.
