Position Overview The Key Account Executive (KAE) will play a critical support role within the commercial team, working closely with Senior National Account Managers to ensure the seamless execution of account strategies across major UK retail partners. This role demands attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive mindset to help drive the commercial success of our nicotine alternatives portfolio.
- 1–2 years’ experience in a commercial support or account executive role, preferably in FMCG or retail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- Understanding of the UK retail landscape and/or nicotine alternatives is a plus
1. Account Support & Coordination- Act as the first line of support for day-to-day account management queries from national account customers.
- Liaise with internal teams (supply chain, finance, marketing) to ensure timely and accurate response to customer needs.
- Assist in preparing for and following up on customer meetings, ensuring all actions are tracked and completed.
2. Activation & Execution- Support the planning and flawless execution of marketing and promotional activations across accounts.
- Coordinate with trade marketing and field teams to ensure all in-store or digital activations are delivered to spec and on schedule.
- Track and report on activation performance, ensuring learnings are captured and shared.
3. Data Management & Reporting- Maintain and update commercial trackers, including:
- Sales trackers
- Promotional calendars
- Salesforce CRM records
- Monitor product performance, providing insights and regular updates to the wider team.
4. Presentation & Meeting Preparation- Collaborate with the Senior National Account Managers to build professional, insightful monthly customer review presentations.
- Consolidate performance data, promotional results, and new initiative updates into clear and engaging formats.
5. Product & System Accuracy- Own the accuracy and maintenance of critical product data, including:
- Brand and SKU details
- Barcodes and pack formats
- Pricing and promotional mechanics
- Ensure all product and marketing information is up-to-date, correctly formatted, and stored centrally for easy access by all stakeholders.
6. Process & Compliance Support- Assist in completing new line forms and listing documentation to onboard new SKUs with retail partners.
- Support the compliance of all trade activity with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
