IT Support Associate

Summary

We are currently looking for a proactive, analytical, and technically proficient IT Support Associate. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine essential infrastructure upkeep with a structured path for professional technical development. The successful candidate will oversee the internal network ecosystem, guarantee the security and integrity of data collected by our field geophysicists, enhance computing resource efficiency, and deliver daily helpdesk assistance to both corporate and on-site staff. Reporting to management, the role provides practical experience in managing office IT systems alongside specialized data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver initial diagnostic and troubleshooting assistance for employee hardware, laptops, operating systems (including Windows and macOS), and essential corporate software applications.
  
• Support the upkeep of the office local area network (LAN), internet routing equipment, printing infrastructure, and server backup systems to guarantee continuous business operations.
  
• Partner with geologists and field engineers to facilitate file transfers, organize remote data sharing networks, and ensure that geo-survey data gathered in the field is securely transmitted to office workstations.
  
• Implement regular cloud backup protocols (Google Workspace/Microsoft 365) and confirm that anti-virus software remains updated to protect sensitive engineering plans, client records, and internal communications.
  
• Maintain a precise inventory database to log, track, and manage digital assets, software licenses, field tablets, and peripheral hardware.
  
• Ensure that communication platforms, video conferencing solutions, and organizational data structures function optimally to support both on-site and remote work environments.
