Internal Communications Specialist

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Internal Communications & Culture Specialist to help connect our people to the strategy, culture, and work that makes flawless flight possible. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in Internal communications and culture, solid writing skills, and an ability to translate complex business objectives into compelling employee communications and culture moments. 

This individual will collaborate closely with HR, Marketing, Product, and other business unit leaders to plan and execute communications for major internal initiatives, compelling narratives, and cultural programs. You will help drive internal communications through channels like Slack, email, and Confluence, reinforcing the Jeppesen ForeFlight vision and strategic pillars.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality written content across a broad range of company-wide communications, including leadership messages, announcements, and employee updates, that reflect Jeppesen ForeFlight's voice and values
• Support and amplify executive presence across internal communication channels and company meetings
• Drive employee engagement and visibility through internal communications channels, including the company intranet, email distribution, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack)
• Monitor internal communications channels to identify opportunities for amplification, sharing, and timely response
• Partner with Marketing to ensure internal and external messaging are aligned and mutually reinforcing
• Identify, track, and proactively address communications gaps, ensuring employees have timely access to the information they need
• Support How We Run activation efforts: culture pulse checks, manager cascade materials, and culture content for company calls and communications
• Assist in running structured listening sessions across the organization, mapping the gap between How We Run “as written” and “as lived,” and identifying the people at every level who already model it
• Assist in coordinating company wide recognition moments: All Company Call Culture Corner, creating recognition posts, and monitoring internal channels for amplifications opportunities
• Align and operationalize internal and external social media presence, culture amplification and employee highlights
• Champion Cultural Unification by helping the organization celebrate diverse cultures globally, spotlighting cultural moments, holidays, and traditions across our global teams, while amplifying a collective, unified company culture that brings these celebrations together under one shared identity
• Contribute to employer brand and culture storytelling efforts, partnering with Talent and Marketing on recruitment marketing and employee experience content
• Support crisis and issues communications as needed, working with Legal, HR, and senior leadership to deliver timely, accurate, and appropriate messaging

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to quality and detail
• Experience supporting executive communications and events such as all-hands meetings and town halls
• Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and workflow optimization
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aviation, software, or high-tech industries strongly preferred
• Familiarity with change management frameworks and principles (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well market and business considerations: Summary Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000
