Responsibilities include translating complex underwriting rules and policy lifecycles into the cloud-native architecture while managing end-to-end insurance offerings.

This is a remote position.

We are seeking an experienced and solutions-oriented InsureMO Platform Configurator to lead the configuration, integration, and orchestration of insurance products and microservices powered by the InsureMO (eBaoTech) middleware platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex underwriting rules, product specifications, and policy administration lifecycles into InsureMO’s cloud-native digital insurance architecture. You will configure and maintain end-to-end insurance offerings across multiple core modules (Product Factory, Policy, Billing, Claims, and Partner/Channel Portals), working closely with underwriters, enterprise architects, and ecosystem integration partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. InsureMO Platform & Product Configuration

  • Configure, build, and deploy insurance products using InsureMO Product Factory / Product Master, defining dynamic coverage structures, risk objects, clauses, limits, deductibles, and endorsement types.

  • Implement and fine-tune complex pricing formulas, rating tables, referral rules, and underwriting matrices directly within InsureMO’s rule and rating engines.

  • Configure end-to-end insurance lifecycles across core modules:

    • Policy Lifecycle: New Business, Quotation, Underwriting clearance, Bind, Issuance, Mid-Term Adjustments (Endorsements), Renewals, and Cancellations.

    • Billing & Collections: Premium invoicing, payment schedule definitions, reconciliation rules, refund management, and commission structures.

    • Claims Microservices: First Notice of Loss (FNOL), claim registration, reserve management, basic settlement flows, and rule-based claim triage.

  • Build dynamic, multi-channel customer and agent journeys via InsureMO’s workflow orchestration and portal configuration tools.

2. API Orchestration & Third-Party Integration

  • Leverage InsureMO’s extensive catalog of Open APIs/Microservices to orchestrate real-time data flows between InsureMO and upstream digital channels (Mobile Apps, Web Portals, Aggregators/Brokers).

  • Integrate InsureMO microservices with downstream enterprise systems (Core PAS, General Ledger/ERP, Document Management, Payment Gateways, and third-party data enrichers).

  • Configure payload mappings, data transformations, webhook triggers, and event-driven services using JSON/XML.

3. Insurance Domain & Business Analysis

  • Partner closely with Business Analysts, Underwriting SMEs, and Product Managers to break down complex policy guidelines and rate filings into clear technical configuration specifications.

  • Validate that configured product behaviors comply with regional regulatory standards and insurance filing requirements.

4. Testing, Defect Resolution & Deployment

  • Execute unit testing, scenario-based rating validation, and system integration testing (SIT) to ensure mathematical precision in premium calculations and policy rules.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders, triage configuration defects, and manage versioning across development, staging, and production environments.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for product models, mapping sheets, API contracts, and configuration runbooks.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • InsureMO Hands-on Experience: Direct, hands-on experience configuring and implementing insurance products and workflows on the InsureMO (eBaoTech) platform.

  • Module Expertise: Proven implementation exposure across multiple InsureMO modules/APIs, including Product Factory, Policy, Billing, and Claims.

  • Insurance Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance operations and the policy administration lifecycle (P&C / General Insurance, Life, or Specialty lines).

  • Technical & Integration Competencies:

    • Proficient with RESTful APIs, Swagger/Postman, Webhooks, JSON, and XML payload structures.

    • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API gateways, and cloud-native digital insurance ecosystems.

    • Basic proficiency in SQL (relational database querying) and scripting/logical expressions.

  • Delivery Frameworks: Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments utilizing tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to embedded insurance, affinity partnerships, or aggregator/broker portal integrations via InsureMO.

  • Prior experience with other modern or legacy core PAS platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or eBaoTech GeneralSystem).

  • InsureMO certification or recognized insurance domain certifications (e.g., INS, AINS, CPCU, or LOMA).
